I never expected it returned, but I also didn't expect someone to be so rude as to snap it in half, ***all over it, light it on fire and throw it back at my feet. Some people can go diaf.

Thats why you wrap it in barbed wire, just incase they try to get rough and break it.

The NM that we were camping spawned. I was going to let them have it, I needed to sleep. I waited at the zone line so I could 1)at least get a ToD 2) Be nearby when I woke up if enough time had passed or if the person gave up while I was asleep. Sure enough the NM did spawn, wherein they dragged it over to me and zoned. Since I was standing there, the NM went for me. The person watched as it killed me, then claimed again and killed it.

I made it a policy in online games to only extend the same courtesy I've been offered because of things exactly like this. I don't go out of my way to be a ***, but I also don't go out of my way to be generous, until someone has been generous to me.

As one example of many, take mining in XI (which I did a lot of) I won't just run up and mine the same point that someone else is doing, I'll go find another one, I'll even send a tell to find out what they're after (because very often both parties are after completely different goals, I trade what I dig up that I don't want with what you don't want) but come digging on the spot you plainly see me on, and it's open season.

Another would be NMs, if I've been camping something for a while, and someone shows up to camp the same thing and scopes the area out and finds me, but then leaves, when they come back I very well will probably go off and find something else to do so that they can have their shot. They were nice enough to say "I'll leave you be", so I will return the same.

She never mentioned it was an NM until asked.

I'm the same way and unless I dislike the person fighting the NM I won't be a *** even if they wipe. I'll kill the NM and give them the drop (if it's a popped NM) and then keep going for my own drop.

I'm always nice to everyone :/ leaving a turn for a nm pop to someone else to take turns, waiting for people to leave a camp before starting camping the same one, etc. A friend in my ls always scolds me for this, cause he thinks it's natural to act in a "homo homini lupus" way, and just fight over everything. I hate that, but he says that everyone acts that way and if we don't do the same we just get stepped on.

Actually, this is not far from rl too.

I like stepping on people's toes.
