Mm. Slow cookers are nice. Personally, I prefer a nice offset wood smoker. Drop a whole *** pig, light the wood, mesquite preferably, and wait around with rather minimal fuss involved until the pig's cooked all the way through. slow cookers are the worst invention ever. they represent everything wrong with lazy american cuisine slowly warning individual ingredients into a bland homogeneous tasteless goo. if you put the same ingredients in the oven it tastes ten to a hundred times better.
hell the little betty crocker lightbulb easy bake oven is better...
smokers at least add smoke flavor... slow cookers add a horrible school cafeteria nightmare flashback flavor. yuck

i don't own a crock pot or slow cooker... i don't really see the point? i'll borrow one if i take stuff to work and need to keep it warm, but to cook a dish or full meal? ehhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I've never much cared for crock pot food, mainly because it feels like it was something that would have been good, but now it's all soggy. Like the meat portion of a roast will be OK, if I coat it with pepper after it's on my plate, but the onions and other fixings? Mouth feel is dreadful, and they taste only slightly better than licking an envelope shut :(
slice onions and bell peppers, put in bag with oil and seasonings you like. put on grill. wait a few mins, flip.
diet food?
i smoked a london broil on the grill and then sliced it thin. while it was resting i did some veggies with the method listed above. dinner one night and then 3-4 more lunches or dinners. 0 carbs, healthy fats, no sugar, calorie appropriate, and decent protein...
