I'd like to find the guy who's responsible for whatever system keeps spamming my email and shoot him in the ***.
EDIT: It's not stuff from here, just random ***. Anna Ruthven said: » Apparently, Blizzard is trying to have Overwatch hentai taken down wherever they can. Kek it would be dumb to buy this right?
After subtracting the cost of the nearly $800 monitor and tallying the cost of each part at its highest available price atm, you're basically paying someone an extra $785 to put that PC together for you. If you really want it it isn't a bad PC but keep in mind that premium that you're paying someone to do like 20 mins of work :<
Also worth mentioning that the motherboard does not allow for multi gpu configs if you end up wanting to squeeze some more performance out of this rig in a couple of years, you'll have to buy a new flagship. it didn't copy over the changes i made ._.
i think mine was like 200 cheaper. i made changes i think were better. lolhdd. it was quoting that at 120 off. i also went with 850 pro 256gb. i have one in my laptop i can throw into this rig. i think the big thing is the 2 year warranty on all parts, and the simplicity of how it's put together. although i could build one myself and use the savings to instead mount a 50 inch monitor on the wall and just keep using my 27inch benq for normal stuff. The warranties and stuff look good on paper but you get those same warranties straight from the manufacturer anyway (in most cases, like for RAM and PSU, you actually get lifetime warranties from most).
I'm not saying the PC is bad or anything, it's just rather dubious whether that extra almost $800 is worth it. I wish I could get paid $500-800 to build a PC if you can build me one and promises to service it and get it in a similar quality build you're talking to something who is obviously considering it.
you'd also have to do interest free financing though =/ if it was just building it in a case i'd build it myself. i still kinda like the all-in-one design. normally they are garbage machines that will over heat instantly (supimac), but this seems like it's pretty well built. positive reviews.
Even though I say I'd like to get that much for doing what I like to do, I dont think I'd ever be able to swindle someone like that. I mean if I ever did pc builds on the side for extra $ id charge breakeven for parts+shipping, a $50-100 build, rebate, and warranty management fee, and wouldn't charge up front for servicing since tbh it's a ripoff since there's no guarantee that the customer will ever require that service.
I understand these companies need to make money but damn. We're talking a $1000-1500 profit per pc after accounting for the fact that they probably get vendor/wholesale prices for parts. Pretty ridic can you even buy a case that will mount behind a monitor like that? i don't even know what to google, but you said 75 bucks?
*edit* i just wanna hang it on the wall and only have one cable! i think that's the main thing. yeah they sell AIO cases that mount to monitors. the ones with monitors already attached cost between $200-250 but aren't the same quality as the monitor that you'd be getting there. I personally dont like them due to ventilation issues (this is a major concern for 900 and 10 series GPUs since boost 3.0 is extremely sensitive to temperature) but they look nice and are easy to move i guess.
if i go with a non-mid/full tower it'd be something like a BitFenix for portability. for your specific desire this is probably the easiest way to achieve what you're looking for, you'll just be paying a premium for it which may or may not pay itself off depending on how much you get to make use of those lifetime service plans maybe i'll finally build a computer into a desk. i think it would be pretty easy. install it across the desk and then put a liftable plexiglass table top over the whole thing. set it up with tons of airflow and it's super easy to access for cleaning and maint. i just don't have all the tools. would be a fun project though.
desk PCs are dope. once you have it set up you can pretty much use it forever too
