TMJ is getting worse. Just learned my aunt had the same problem and had to get surgery. Well thanks m'genetics
Ugh. I feel bad for anyone who has TMJ bad. I've got a mild deviation and even that gets annoying any time I try to eat anything too chewy or that requires a lot of biting (chicken wings, for instance, which are like...my favorite thing, ever). Jaw gets really sore and really tired and it's like "okay, I'm done enjoying things now."

As stated, mine is "mild" and only on the right side, and I get almost all of those symptoms at least on rare occasions, a few of them more frequently. To me they're just sort of annoying except on rare exacerbations.
I luckily don't get the jaw locking. I do have aural problems but I can't really attribute those to TMJ as much as 20+ years of firearms, drumming, and exposure to machinery, not always with the proper hearing protection.
