My parents bought a new hdtv not too long ago and it has the (R/W/Y) input combined with the component input. Like dual function on them. It labels their alternative input just above the normal on the plating.

That genuinely surprises me. Most HDTVs go the route of HDMI only. And maybe a 3.5mm audio jack for audio out/in and maybe an optical out too. But that's it.
