I ended up using his files, it was so much faster but I wasn't able to do quite how he explained about checking files. After doing that with POL, I couldn't bring up FFXI option to check files, so I just ran the game and it checked for updated files, atleast that was it was only 1500 files.
I was in the game, couldn't get controller to work and was just trying to figure out how the keyboard and mouse worked in FFXI since I never depended on them for battles and moving.
I just ran around town for a bit, checked the AH (Sleepga II still eludes me) and right now logged out to check stuff online. I wasn't really serious on doing anything but it was nice to run around but also noticed, cause of the US releases, I don't have Zilart unlocked, which you think having all the different collections on Xbox 360 and PS2, as well as a PC install from years ago, it should of been unlocked... ??
Oh well, going to read what I need to do to see seekers and that's mainly what I wanted to do.

Honest to God amazed our router hasn't exploded due to the amount of dust in the air here. It's like air soup. But gross.
Yea honestlyfrom what I've noticed with PoL if there's alot of large files it does tend to hang up/freeze or just fail or restart the updates

That's what confuses me, when I checked my account information online, it shows that I should have everything opened. But with the files I downloaded off the official FFXI site for the expansion, for some reason I don't have any of the smalled addons nor Zilart, however Seekers and everything else is opened.
I tried to do the quest for Seekers and ended up getting lost. I'll read up on the quest to maybe find an easy location for that device but really I already gave up on FFXI. LOL.
Did you install all of them, or just the basic game?

Registration = Entitlement (entering a serial code for the expansion on the game management site)
For the expansion to work you need the expansion data (the updater downloading logic has been changed to keep the same client for all users regardless of which expansions each user has) and the entitlement.
If you lack either (currently you can only lack the entitlement due to how the updater works now) the corresponding expansion logo on the title screen will display grayed out.

No, that's just how it shows up when you patch that way. You have to do a filecheck regardless.

I thought they only added some of the expansion data for RoV not all of them, but then again I've been slacking on release notes.
Nephew got me sucked into playing Digimon Heroes. Too many mobile games, not enough time. @_@
Really annoying how all the guests on the friend list thing at low levels are just long-abandoned accounts with ***Digimon as leaders.
Also, holy crap difficulty spike on the easter event. Beat the first 2 parts of easy mode with no trouble, boss of the final part one-shotted me.

while the 2nd op for Gundam is not as good as Raise Your Flag, it did grew on me, will actually miss it too.
