Yeah... first off I will do a 1 legged backflip if we can FIND all those laptops. Then reimaging 300 some-odd units with software that caps us out at 10 at a time because we are too cheap to buy something better. Yeah there goes a quiet week of catching up on Pokemon Red.

Tech people, got a weird issue...

I can't turn on a chromebook while it is sitting on top of another chromebook (powered off).

These are HP 14 G4's. I would guess it has something to do with es fields or something but that doesn't make a lot of sense when the bottom one is turned off.

EDIT- this isnt a major issue that needs fixing, more like... hmmm isn't that a weird thing.

No power. If I lift it up I can turn it on, but if I sit it back on top of another chromebook, it shuts right off. Happens to all of them. Some sort of design flaw.

Sounds like a badly designed ground. Are the others plugged in too?

Sounds like a badly designed ground. Are the others plugged in too?

I know certain smart phones and pads can be charged by placing them physically on top of recharging pad surfaces/stations. Perhaps, by design, it's registering the active laptop beneath it as a charging station and enters a power-saving/sleep/hibernate state?

Just a guess.

My brother loved that movie so much (I personally think because of Idris Elba.) I told him that every single character in the movie (including the Russians who don't even get any lines of dialogue) are far cooler and tonnes more interesting than the main two characters. :p If you could just remove them and their goofy subplot(s) it's actually kind of a fun watch! :)
