So Gregion is not working on my PC, at all.
After many google searches, forum posts and asking a streamer I've known for years on Youtube I was unable to solve the problem.
So, I un-installed it. I'll check out OBS tonight; hopefully that program decides to work without any vague error messages.
This will be the 4th recording software I'll try to get working properly on my PC -_-''

That was my first choice but any recordings with that program resulted in weird desyncs or other audio issues.

There's some sort of setting on my PC that just doesn't like recording for some reason.

The only program I managed to get working (with a work-around) was Camstudio. That isn't even designed to record games, but it's the only thing that didn't crash or give errors...

Doesn't Nvidia have something called ShadowPlay?

Tried that one and it gave strange results. I got further than Gregion though; there were at least files I could see after I recorded something.
But still, there were some problems with the files generated (that were not explained in the FAQ or helpdesk), so I had to give up on ShadowPlay as well.
When a file is generated, it's not normal for it to have inverted colours, weird audio (lag) or ridiculous file size (a 1 minute test file was nearly 3 Gigabytes...).

I swear my PC is cursed or something...

well if its .avi the files going to be big regardless.
Especially with fraps. The Audio Sync (Or lack off), is probably cause by Media player Unable to sync up correctly, due to file size.

Media Player Classic has no such problem.

I love Media Player Classic :) I switched to that ages ago.

But Camstudio has ONLY .avi files as output and yet they never exceed the 2 gigabyte size. I make 15-minute long videos with that program just fine.

So, after reading tutorials and watching some videos I was ready to switch to .WMV files, since that's what most people seem to prefer. But my PC is just a stubborn goat <.<;

If it's not .avi and not CamStudio it generates all sorts of strange problems. Someone mentioned that CamStudio itself might be causing all these problems with other recording software. That they can't coexist on one PC, but I'm not sure I believe that.

I have high hopes for OBS; I've only heard good things about it, so here's hoping I can get it working properly tonight.

I need April to be here already.
It's gonna be a crazy month of awesome:
Mog Wardrobe 2
Homestuck starts to end
JoJo's Bizarre Adventures Part 4: Diamon is Unbreakable starts (Oh what a beautiful duwang!)
The Unbreakable Kimmy Schimdt comes back
Archer is back (technically the 31st of this month... But close enough)
Probably another Steven Universe bomb (whoever is in charge of programming at CN needs to stop. Release episodes for everything like a sane network and stop shoving TTG at people. I didn't hate it before, but the overexposure makes me hate it now.)
I'm sure I'm forgetting something else that's happening...

And in May, not only do we have Aizen's birthday at the end of the month, but we also have Grace & Frankie's second season.
The next two months are gonna be fun.
Screw March why isn't it over yet. All it has is free Dairy Queen on the Ides.

Cam-studio converts files to compressed AVI. Not Uncompressed like every other recording software. (Apart from OBS)

Hense the smaller file size. Your PCs abillity to read the large files will largely effect sync. Sometimes on my renders from vegas get up to 110gb, completely uncompressed (Like the rawest of raw because i can maintain quality when i compress). Trying to load them and i'll have 0 sync and files we be unwatchable. Opening them up in any form of editing software and you should be able to check the playback on then and sync properly.

I feel a little bit smarter about recording software and related content after reading this post. So, thanks :)
You explain it better than most tutorials I've read/seen.

No Problem. Hope it helps to some.
If the problem persists, OBS is probably gonna be your best bet, due to small file sizes.

Edit: Now that i think about it, if you move over to OBS, to capture FFXI, the Game Capture will crash the game. Use a Window capture, and set it to ffxi (You'll get what i mean).

I'll fiddle around with the program tonight and see how it goes. I'll post my findings here; hopefully just good news though :)

Ah, well I don't plan to record FF11 yet. I've been mainly using CamStudio to record let's plays of stuff from emulators (windowed mode).
But CamStudio just won't cut it for anything newer than a game made in 1996 haha; it's why I've been trying to switch to something different for a while. OBS is more or less my last hope at this point...

Gotta love when other people's mismanagement bites you in the ***.

This school has iPads, not the biggest surprise. What does surprise me though is that they have at LEAST 9 iTunes accounts for these iPads. What is even better is that 8 of those are not even real email accounts tied to them. They did some weird work around where you can use a phony email so you don't have to tie a wallet to it or something...

So now they want them all restored to factory default, updated to the current iOS and then have 3 specific apps installed. Fun thing is that these are all tied to different Find My iPad accounts, at least one of which somehow ended up being a teacher's personal gmail account. Then as an added bonus, the 3 apps they want were all purchased... on different accounts...

Today is one of those go to the bathroom for 4 hours and hope no one notices kinda days.

Technically I believe it's the 3 model B. With wifi ^.^

I was going to order one, then I realized that I haven't touched my model B+ or my 2 B at all, and I haven't touched my original model B in years.
