Don't listen to the others. By the time you can catch a Dratini, you'll already have Gyarados!

Endoq, when you get far enough we can teach you how to catch Mew and Pikablu! Lol, I remember trying that thing with the truck. Never worked for me.
Rattata just became Eradicate!
What I want to know is how those rumors spread so fast... this was before huge message boards or hell broadband. Did the musings of little nerd kids travel that far?!
I was pulling his leg since its his first time playing.
Wow. That brings back some memories.
I spent a great deal of my life in middle school arguing with other pokemon nerds on the internet. There was one thing that brought us all together-- finding Mew in the game without Gameshark or Nintendo events. That truck was a false lead, but many of us believed it. I wasted a lot of time messing with that and other rumors. I must have played through the game a dozen times with different player names to try and find Mew in the Missingno. level 155 pool (which was determined by the letters in your player name). It wasn't until nearly a decade later that someone finally found a real way to catch Mew. Here is a more recent video using a similar method: YouTube Video Placeholder The only difference between this and the method I used once is I used fly instead of teleport. I spent a great deal of my life experimenting with glitches like these before and after that. I explored the vastness of the "glitch world" ran every test imaginable with Missingno. and 'M. I had become fascinated with glitches in general, which eventually led to my interest in so-called paranormal events in real life which to me are very similar. Lol remember the dupe glitch? Put the item you want to dupe in slot 6 of the inventory, go to Viridian City, talk to the dude who didn;t have his coffee earlier, then fly to cinnabar island and swim up and down the side haha. Man. I never played Red and Blue the legit way ever again. Dupe dat Rare Candy dozens of times.
Missingno!
Funny how all those things were transferred via word of mouth back then. I learned about it at a family picnic i think. I never heard about missingno until pokemon x and y came out. -,-

Completely random, and I know different people define it differently, but I really think "Pokémon" is the true dividing line between Gen X and millennials.
"Power Rangers" is another one, and basically encompasses the same group of kids. Some of us were just a little too old for them but all of our slightly younger friends won't shut up about them to this day and we still don't get what the big deal is. I mean, Pokémon would have been cool if they were adorable little creatures that actually tore each other apart. It's failed concept to me once they just kept being cute. I *** hate the most recent gen of Pokemon, not because of the fact that all of the pokemon look dumb and uncreative, but that fat kid in the Y that was dancing...it felt so obnoxious... About that dancing kid...
You ever have a passion you just want to share with the world all the time? At the supposed age the kids are, their opportunity is while traveling the world. No better time. Well, except I don't walk around semi-naked :p |
