This is probably a dumb question, but can a MS Surface operate FFXI? I know it natively has Win10 but sometimes things like form factor and input functions can mess things up.
I bought a surface pro 3 a bit ago, updated it to windows 10 right out of the box, installed XI and it seemed to work fine, I didn't have any issues, even with the logitech controller or windower.
If you're looking at older models, just steer clear of the RT ones, they won't support it.
Yeah, I knew RT is picky about certain legacy features and software compatibility. But awesome, gonna see if I can score an older model and have some FFXI with me for my trip to Chicago :D
It's a different cpu architecture, it's not just "problems" it's purely a different beast entirely.
I used a SP3 256GB one, I don't see why a V1 PRO or V2 PRO wouldn't work though. I never got the chance to try it on one of the ASUS Windows tablets, but I don't see why it wouldn't work on one of those either.
