Random Thoughts.....What are you thinking?
Rooks-senpai is my waifu.

There's decent arguments for both, but I've found myself having to rush/limit/shelve things because they don't always fit into the smaller development cycle. I miss the days of permabans
HA, they don't exist anymore!
*dances on a bear rug* Anna Ruthven said: » Well, personally, I'd think it'd be better to just patch whatever is ready as long as it wouldn't break things, that way it doesn't seem stagnant. Asura.Kingnobody said: » I rather have patches whenever you feel like it. I like a steady schedule for a bunch of reasons, but the big three are: - Gives a fixed time to make it easier on Scragg - Sets expectations for everyone else (this is the big reason why I hate skipping weeks) - Imposes some structure on me so I don't tinker with something forever Asura.Kingnobody said: » Also, where's my rainbow bar??!?!?!?!?! Don't get greedy. I mean whatever is ready each Tuesday, not whenever you feel like it.
I propose we limit the rainbow tag to 3 words and/or 15 characters, max :)

Anna Ruthven said: » I mean whatever is ready each Tuesday, not whenever you feel like it. Ah, mis-read. Sorry about that. That's mostly what I've been doing, but it means we're going to get occasional filler weeks where there's not going to be anything exciting in there. Kalila said: » I propose we limit the rainbow tag to 3 words and/or 15 characters, max :) That'd be fairly annoying to do, actually, due to how the internal parser works. All BBCode has potential for abuse, so that's really more of a moderation issue anyway. Well, judging by all the waifu stuff we were talking, a lot of us watch anime, we should be used to filler. >.>

In any case, that won't happen again. Anna Ruthven said: » Well, judging by all the waifu stuff we were talking, a lot of us watch anime, we should be used to filler. >.> That's just a stereotype. There isn't that much filler in anime. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go and catch episode 4 of Goku screaming. Anyway, once Pro is up and running, I'd assume bi-weekly or even monthly patches would be fine. It's just getting Pro more up and running, y'know? A certain character type needs to be there for an admin thats for sure. Maybe rooks can join us on another cards game? ;D Sylph.Shadowlina said: » To be fair the Admin life can be rough. Bismarck.Magnuss said: » So you'd rather be a good Admin than play Cards with me the day after my birthday? Wow... It's not personal. I have, roughly, 10-15 hours a week of actual Free Time™ between RL work, wife+kid, other obligations, etc. It's not something I can pop into and out of like forum posting - it requires a contiguous, uninterrupted block of time, and there just isn't that much of that for me right now, so that's what I get. 10-15 hours a week of development isn't very much! So, if I want to make progress with any velocity whatsoever, it trumps almost everything else. |
