Depends on use, or camera... I have a pro DSLR (most that I've seen use CF cards) most consumer cameras (or entry level noob DSLRs) use SC cards since they're fine for that.

and I know the canon rebel 3 or w/e uses sd or sdhc iirc.
my mother's old as hell Nikon used SD still but the pins bent and she can't find a shop to fix it.
Edit: personally I don't see the point, as I find them to be inferior technology, but then again they may have a default faster transfer rate.

They do, if I recall (might be wrong...) CF allows for more to be written simultaneously, whereas SD cards can only write ... on one channel or something.

New weight lose vanity shots are up in the fitness thread for those who have cared about my weight lose trek. 22 pounds to go before the first part of my goal, trying to knock it out before my birthday at the end of August.
I have to say, my wife was right about it being a good idea to take a picture of myself at the start of each month. It really has helped me stay motivated (even through being sick).

Apparently CF have a slight current speed advantage, but due to the cost I'd say it'd be better to just use SDXC, as it really is just slight according to the article I read, it seemed decently up to date, but not sure how up to date it is.
Also apparently CF cards have a 16bit bus, vs the 4bit bus of SD.

Speaking of weight loss; I was 245 lbs in February, and now, I'm 188 lbs. I was 160, but I gained like 85 lbs during Adderall withdrawal.
