I'm trying to set up linux to do filesharing to a windows pc, and honestly feel like I have never been on a pc before at the moment as I'm looking at it like "idkwtfI'm doing, why am I doing this?"

All I've ever done was run BAMT and similar things ヘ（。□°）ヘ
I've been googling, and it's just making my mood worse.

I think I need to wipe some settings, scratch the idea of joining it to the domain, and just using normal windows accounts to access it.

I think I've gotten too used to working in teams to solve stuff, relying on the skills of others to augment my own, and I miss the group effort.

It also doesn't help that I'm not very proficient in AD or linux.

a script (idc how I do it, just vbs was the first thing I came across, either that or a batch file, don't care) to copy a file to numerous workstations on the network, from a text or csv file with the names.

it was giving me an error with the path of the file I wanted to copy, an I can't figure out why, it was like this (and even tried this with a test.txt file to see if it was the .lnk file extension messing it up) C:\Scripts\test.txt

kept giving me an error on the path.
