Correct. Some people seem to think just because anyone can type in a URL and go to the site, that makes it a public site, and therefore are 'free to do whatever they want'.
It just doesn't work that way. I don't even know if there is such a thing as a public site where everyone is free to do whatever they want.

Another false reality those types of people seem to exhibit... They live in the USA, so they think they have a right to free speech on the internet, even when the server holding the site they are claiming they have the right to free speech on is located in a country where there is no right to free speech or the equivalent to the US Constitution.
This one always makes me laugh too..

I would get temp banned and go on my way. I would probably forget about logging in. So if I am ever to be temp banned it should be by you so that is not true anymore. Same.

But yeah, most temp bans are a week, more if circumvented by creating a new account. It's MUCH easier to deal with now that we've eliminated anon accounts (accounts not linked to either FFXI or FFXIV characters).

When did Jet get banned?
After some interesting PMs in the last day or so, I thought I would make a post about bans. Particularly what NOT to do when banned.
When temp banned, you should not do any of the below:
Tell a mod/admin to f off.
Tell a mod/admin to go suck a penis.
Give your life story across 10 PMs.
and the one that gives me the most lulz - threaten to sue for being temp banned.
Doing the above will do nothing to get your temp ban removed sooner, and will usually end up with you permanently banned.
Also, I'd appreciate it if my youtube account wasn't used for QQing about how unfair it is because your PM privileges were revoked for being annoying and/or a douchebag.
Example:
YouTube.QQer said: You can try and ban my voice on ffxiah but you can hide forever. (Note that I CAN hide forever. That's a good thing to know. I was worried for a second there.)
YouTube.QQer said: Im sure you must be really simple to send such a threat so Ill explain it for you. tl;dr - If you are temp banned, suck it up and wait it out. It could've been a perma ban.
