went over 1300 with hyoton san, futae and innin on same mob, with atma of lugarhoo (forgot the name), some skill and mab gear (also had osode and a int+4 ring)
atma alone let you deal great damage just by ni elemental wheel
finally elemental ninjutsu is getting usefull and funny

Outside Abyssea tested on diferent mobs w/o any MaB gear and w MaB gear results varied a lot but is great was able to land up to 800 dmg with futae , tested mobs were Antlions,Flys,Scors, lizzards,Pudings(took the most up to 500 per nuke w/o futae)

Inside abyssea w/o atmas was landing 280-400 to Guku and Minax solo back tanking so coulnt test Innin.

All in all <3 SE for this update

Since the damage is based on ninjutsu, it's best to just have a set of ninjutsu-skill gear that you use as your debuff set and just use that to nuke.

I've done 1000+ with a meh set with futae and innin, so it's pretty nice.

I had a little fun playing around with nukes last nigh, and here are the results:

average Ni nukes were doing 800~900
Raiton/Hyoton: San were 1,000~1,400
Raiton: San + Futae would do around 1,900~2,500

My atmas were RR, MM, and Clawed Butterfly

And my best DMG of the night/so far as NIN:

This might just give me a reason to equip my AF3+1 Gloves lol. I've been trolling around with it and my Ni spells tend to do close to 500, using standard TP gear and RR/VV/GH. What aside from skill affects the wheel? I overheard MAB doesn't but source isn't exactly reliable.

I look for MaB first, then INT, then skill when I'm going for damage. On some higher tier/MDB type NMs you might want to go all out on skill though.

I see, this definitely puts NIN in a different ballpark IMO. Not only do we have the potential to put out sick DoT/WS damage, but added with Elemental damage, Ninja is definitely turning into what was originally planned out by SE.

To Upbeat:

Those are good numbers against an NM that seems to have a little bit of a weakness to magic. I was wondering if you had any screenshots of what the highest damage that the BLMs were doing, as well as an evaluation of his/her setup, to give a more complete picture. Or was that BLM that did Thunder V the best one you guys had? I mean, it's kinda lol that he did less than you, but with abyssea, there's a lot of things to consider; like did he have all of his furtherance/lunar abyssites/good atma/etc...

Also, do you have all of your abyssites of furtherance? And what were the zone buffs like? All this kind of information would be useful if you have it. Were you /BLM by chance?

I ask this because the potential for +5k damage is there... with 3 of the MAB atmas equiped imo. I haven't been keeping up with what BLMs are capable of, but I'm starting to wonder if we start going toe-to-toe for magic damage with them... then we're probably looking at a nerf on the next update?

Looks like I need to get started on some MAB katanas. Thanks for the info :D

In the screenshot I posted before there was actually two different people nuking. One was a SCH, and the other a BLM. Both only had 2 Lunar Abyssites, and missing a couple atmas like MM. I think they were using Beyond/Kirin.

I have no idea if they have any furtherance, I however have two of them.

This is what the BLM's nuke set looks like:

He was able to pull off a 5,000 DMG Burst II tonight.

I was able to pull this off tonight with the new atma I got(Atma of the Beyond)

With a near to perfect or perfect set up I can see 5,000 being very possible if it's on a magic burst.

So does dual wield Sekka +2 INT/MAB pretty much wreck HQ staves in the damage department? If they do, by how much damage do you think?

They do, I don't know a % but it's a lot though.

I wasn't really doing much thinking at the time, I just clicked on a San and went with it. However during the night my Raiton: Sans still out damaged my Hyoton: Sans(I know... weird, right?)

I didn't even swap back to my Nuke set after I used Blade: Yu in the video. That kinda upset me when I watched it again.

EDIT: opps you were talking about my SSs not the video, I did use Hyoton: San in that lol. The Screenshots I posted were the highest DMG I did during the night, probably because the BLU just kept using Light Skillchain not Darkness.

Huge necro bump, sorry. I've been starting to build my own Ninjutsu set for DD purposes and decided to look through this thread as a sort of resource. Not trying to start a fight or anything, but why are you looking for Magic Attack Bonus over INT? I don't know if it's true for :San, but for :Ni, INT trumps Magic Attack Bonus easily. Is there a point at which INT stops doing more damage for :Ni than Magic Attack Bonus would?

I also have a ninjitsu build
Nin gets very very limited INT armor, so
MATK>MACC>INT

Atma's i use:
Baying Moon
Ultimate
Beyond

Elewheel Ni's
Hutonsan(lower resist to ice)
Futae Hyotonsan (ice pot/capped)

=45seconds huge damage

Kiss ur bank goodbye, keep Yonnin up!!!

This doesn't really answer the question. At all.

PS: Minikin Monstrosity outperforms Baying Moon and Ultimate. Beyond is quality for Hyoton:Ni and :San, though.

@Nightfyre - Can you elaborate?
