Its fast paced comedy that is not very serious about the 'Love' part of the title. I get some good laughs from it in these troubled times when laughs are a commodity. Am currently going through Netflix's "Voltron: Legendary Defender" and this line just came up. I had to come here to this thread and share. This line is... pure amazing.
"So sad". I kind of want to use this as a meme template. Leviathan.Draugo

Don't know if it's been mentioned here yet, but Doro-Hedoro on NF was pretty badass, and different, swear it was the same animator's of Akira.
YouTube Video Placeholder Spoilers but if u ever want to to watch the remake this should give you a reason to watch pretty cool.

(Almost) finished catching up on 3 years worth of anime after taking a break for a while in addition to some other stuff in the backlog, so I'm starting up airing seasonal shows again. I've been watching:
Super Cub Shadows House Blue Reflection Ray Slime Taoshite 300-nen Yakunara Mug Cup Mo I'm enjoying them all, with Mug Cup a little less than the rest, but I like CGDCT, so I'll stick with it.

Watching this season:
Akebi-chan Slow Loop Kaijin Kaihatsu Will check out a couple more shows later, but all 3 of these were actually much more entertaining than I was expecting. Particularly Kaijin Kaihatsu, which I didn't have much expectations for, but ended up having a dumb smile on my face the whole way through. I love my dumb fun shows.

YouTube Video Placeholder Old is gold! Just watch One Piece again. You'll be done sometime next year.

Still waiting on the rest of zom 100 :/ that show was going great now they just need to finish airing it... After the horribly rushed YuYu Hakusho live action I had to rewatch the classic... It's still so good
Recently rewatched DuRaRaRa! which is still great. If you havnt seen Baccano! from the same author it's also a good one, surprisingly one of the few anime I'd recommend dubbed. Keeping up with the standard shonens. Jujutsu Kaisen is wrapping up the shibuya arc which is arguably one of the best in the series given how the manga is panning out now. Bleach TYBW is beautifully animated if you were a reader and had to finish the manga that never got adapted. Spy x Family remains wholesome and silly. If you havn't seen Frieren: At Journeys End (Sousou no Frieren) its definitely great fantasy, chill vibes, less tropey than most stuff that comes out these days. Since this is a bit of a necro bump I'd say go back a year or 2 and watch Vinland Saga, Chainsaw Man, Cyberpunk Edgerunners, Mushoku Tensei (Jobless Reincarnation), Attack on Titan Not big into sports anime but I know friends who raved about Blue Lock Of the recent rom-coms I really enjoyed My Dress Up Darling and Please Don't Bully Me Nagatoro, but there's a few other popular ones like Komi Can't Communicate If you're an older anime head, Trigun got a modern re-telling in Trigun Stampede with a fresh animation style. Scott Pilgrim got its own anime as well worth checking out Shangri-La Frontier is good.
Apothecary Diaries is a fine adaptation of the novel. Dead Mount Death Play is alright. Frieren already mentioned by Dexprozius. the rest of the season I felt kind of meh about though I'm only running crunchyroll at the moment. Isn't Hazbin Hotel s1 supposed to start soon on Amazon? I'm going to have to give that a watch. Offline

Currently watching Jujutsu Kaisen and Invincible... I love Omni-Man...
I read more than I watch these days, so the only things from last season on the docket are Ancient Magus Bride s2 cour2 and Frieren. Dark Gathering looked interesting but after seeing some comparisons of the manga and anime I chose to read it.
It's getting to the point with me that everything I've read is being made into an anime, so many of them I don't wanna retread. Dandadan? Finally getting an anime and it looks nice. Looking forward to it
Delicious in Dungeon is coming to Netflix in the next week. The manga is very enjoyable if you like screwball fantasy and food porn. Hopefully the anime does well.
Granblue Fantasy has an anime if anyone is looking to get into that world while waiting for their next game to come out. I find it relaxing and charming. If you haven't watched AKB0048 I highly advised. Never before I was so happy that in the end, I hadn't dropped something after the first 5 minutes

Never have I watched a more cringy, nausea inducing sorry excuse for an anime that seems to have a target audience consisting of 12 year old girls that get their entire world experience from fashion and music magazines. And I enjoyed an anime about a family of living gothic lolita dolls, these are living dolls that dress gothic like, that had superpowers like 'plays music well' and 'sews really fancy outfits'. It is rare I have the urge to delete an anime. This was one of them. Happy you liked it though. That all said, the up coming Uzumaki adaptation has me hoping that this will be the first great Junji Ito work properly adapted! trying to keep my expectations down to earth but they keep floating off into space... I'm looking forward to the Uzumaki adaptation, the others haven't been so good.
Recently I've been enjoying Ranking of Kings. Also surprised no one mentioned Mr. Osomatsu for comedy. Also I have been watching older sport anime. Got into Slam Dunk, Hajime No Ippo, and Eye Shield 21 to name a few. |
