Who the hell cares about Besieged?
Its a boring *** event with horrible rewards, So congrats to siren for Broom-raping themselves 2,900 times with a rusty pole, That's what Besieged is.
It's barely worth its weight in skill-ups considering how easy it is to skill up doing any of the multiple more rewarding Abyssea parties, and in those you're not randomly being hit with *** of AoE's from mobs you can barely see yet.
That and the Astral Candescence is worth less than it used to be when ToAU was "the" area to hang out, now events that aren't Abyssea are rarely done, and you don't need the *** Candy to do Assaults.
Only use it has is for people who are forced to do shitty *** trials on ToAU Mobs, and even then, most of them are covered in Abyssea as well, that and faster respawn times in Abyssea. Wamoura/Campa in Abyssea are so much quicker than in Mount. Z, its just some people don't know how to farm Time Extensions and think "Stones" are such precious commodities, when any good party can go in, use one stone, and leave with their 120minutes on the clock.

I'll throw this out, If you don't have Abyssea you're cheap and missing the best thing to happen to FFXI in years.
If you can afford a monthly fee for FFXI you should be able to spend 10$ to be able to access what has to be the most successful expansion to date, with loads of easily accessible and low-mannable content and really easy exp, that easily has one of the best Effort/Reward Ratios of any event.
