Coke is more acidic than Pepsi, and thusly tickles my throat/tongue far better. Pepsi on the other hand can be drank with a sore throat with less pain. Coke does indeed mix into alcohol better than Pepsi. Pepsi goes better with food though... It's a hard choice. I'll fence ride and say, Coke + coke products from bottles(glass or plastic) and Pepsi + pepsi products from cans.
On the sillyness side: I wish Dr. Pepper was never invented. Worst tasting beverage ever. Even worse than my first experience with Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.

This but since it's getting harder to find I settle with Dr. Pepper.

Out of all soda's I have to say my favorite would have to be either Sprite or Dr. Pepper, When it comes to Mixed drinks, Sprite FTMFW.

Diet soda period is disgusting. IDGAF if it's my favorite type it needs to go away.

I drink both but like Pepsi better, Coke seems flatter to me as well as having a slight hint of lime. However coke (or pepsi) in glass bottles is the absolute best. I never see pepsi in glass bottles anymore, but every year on my birthday I grab a six pack of coke in glass bottles and the nicest piece of tuna for sashimi I can find and enjoy.
Also Pepsi was born in New Bern, NC...so I have to support the state I currently reside in.
RC Cola also good.

Yeah I had no clue they did, we have some at this store here for sale, expires in December.
