it wasnt a 'special program' ... I finished high school freshly hitting 16 and entered university as soon as I got accepted.

In the eastern worlds, students of either the 2 programs (Engineering and Medicine) would be classified as a "smart" student.
Anything else, and the society lols/degrades/shuns them.
So age doesn't matter again sadly :(
