What is with all the Cesil hate?
If people put half the effort that they do into ripping on Cesil back into the game we would have more experience parties.

Because judging from our page view metrics, about 98% of our users furiously and quietly click on every one of her pics, and rate them highly.
The other 2% are the same small group of users who give scores of 1 and rate down every RL pic anyone ever posts of themselves, because they're insecure and hypocritical *** who are fine with posting hundreds of jiggling cleavage shots of celebrities or anime characters, but somehow think a real person doing so is a violation of the sacred internets.
Then they turn around and accuse us of having "double standards."

Seriously, you can argue that Cesil choosing to post her pics on a gaming site is naive and/or opening herself up to criticism. I personally wouldn't do it.
But her pics are no worse than most of your animated avatar graphics of hot actresses or cleavage shots. She's also been extremely cooperative in keeping the posts to one or two every couple weeks, with a link to her DeviantArt gallery, instead of monopolizing the entire screenshot section. A whole lot more cooperative than most of our users, who pitch a screaming fit and start screaming about free speech whenever we ask nicely for them not to do something.
The level of vitriol aimed at her is completely inappropriate and weighs much more negatively on you than her.

There are some serial negative clickers out there that's for sure. I think you should remove the ability to click - in threads for this reason, that way if people really disapprove then they either don't click + or report it as an issue. Picture's are a different story though D:

I had a couple pictures of myself up at one point in time, but I deleted them after a day or two. Not because the rate-downs (I think my average score was 2 ^^v), but because they didn't seem to be in place here on a FFXI site. People will make fun of you no matter what you look like or how nice you are. It's life. Get a sense of humor or quit living.
