Thanks also to Milich, Symulence, Rolliefingaz, Darktemplar and Daywalker who also were able to donate Alexandrites to this really really long quest. There's no way I could have done this without you guys. Also special mention to Fiorela for being very generous to donate 42 on my last stretch, Blackcloud for helping out in Nyzul, Arylias, Nyobi, Longarm, Cloudxz, Darthjohnboy and Kyler for finding Alexandrites when I was first starting out and 30,000 was the massive task at hand. After months of effort, I was finally able to turn in the silver pieces^^ Thanks largely to Klamora for farming, and Jirachi for helping me get access to Beaucedine Glacier. Quite a test and trial. At 5 she has been playing FFXI for a few months, and can use the xbox interface without error...the pics and the captions are to entice her to read more. Although a high rated vote is always nice, I wouldn't expect most hard core gamers to find these one liners important. The result of an impulse to try to obtain Herkuleskeule. Personally, I found add-burning this guy to be easier than Podarge since there's no reason to dial down the DPS at any time during the fight. With NPC's and a Fast Cast set, keeping Reprisal up is easy enough and prevents the annoying Defense Down and Encumbrance from the auto-attacks and Riptide Eupnea, respectively. To be completely honest, this stunt is enabled by the adds around the area. Were they not flies or crabs, this would be much harder if not impossible. The actual fight itself is just long, but not necessarily hard. Considering he died within three seconds of timeout, I'm hesitant to call this an accomplishment at all. Anyway, the key is to shield swap for nukes and to TP fast enough to WS at least once per nuke in the final phase before you shield swap again. Also, despite the appearance, all of his TP moves in the final phase are physical, and their effects are negated by blocking. Story time! Way back when I returned to FFXI in 2006 or 2007, I came back solely to level Monk to 75. As Relics were made easier to obtain, I eschewed Monk despite it being my main thanks to acquiring Verethragna. The years passed, I worked hard to get other items, but Monk remained my primary job. With the end of Vana'diel coming, I decided that I could not leave without getting this task accomplished, even though Relics really aren't worth much these days. Story time! Way back when I returned to FFXI in 2006 or 2007, I came back solely to level Monk to 75. As Relics were made easier to obtain, I eschewed Monk despite it being my main thanks to acquiring Verethragna. The years passed, I worked hard to get other items, but Monk remained my primary job. What an amazing three years it has been! Decided to finally hang up my *MAGICAL* poroggo suit and move on from my adventures in Vana'diel...but, not before snagging a few screenshots. Of all, I have to post this one! It is missing Lillianriana who started with us...but I have to thank Darrc for dragging me into this void that is XI and convincing me way in the beginning it was worth all this time playing (it was thankfully). And Ru (Lillianriana) for making a really great friend who was always down to DRK stuff, where would I be without someone to pick on about DRK being horrible? And I have to shoutout all the peeps who ran through Sages, who have come to be really great friends to me on the game and off...whether they're still traversing Vana'diel or have moved on. And all the peeps at NU2 who further cultivated my remaining memories, thank you! And to the non-LS peeps who I have met, thanks too for an awesome adventure. After so many years, 10 years to be exact, my heart was set on making a Nirvana. I had done all the trials, ZNM, Salvage, even up to 24k Alexandrites way back in the day when it was actually extremely difficult and you needed a good Linkshell. I am very happy to say "I did it!" I couldn't have done it without the help of a handful of people. I'm sorry if i miss anyone, but Thank You to: Rielle, and her Linkshell, Forcestar, and everyone that was in my Salvage Group, Loneshadow, Cutestuffies and her Einherjar Linkshell, my Main Event LS Vanguard, and everyone else that had a helping hand big or small!
