This past summer Mijiza and I got to meet some of our oldest LS members/friends (8 years) IRL while traveling the states. Court (far left), Mistymay (next to Court), and Basic (far right). It was pretty great coming back to the states and seeing friends. It's been a great summer of meeting FFXI friends! And we are one short of a fully party... First relic! I made Ochain before PLD was 99, before I needed it. Aegis comes now long after I could have used it fully. Thanks to all who made this possible. The whole linkshell sold me cheap O's, Khyal and Kingsolo made the shields I couldn't buy, Ins practically gave me O's, and Cylani and I farmed our fragments together. Cleared Eald'narche (N) solo on PLD/WHM without Trust NPC's. I was waiting for Vagary to start and needed something to do. Got bored, and thought I'd try for the Stun-SCH body. The actual fight itself is just long, but not necessarily hard. Considering he died within three seconds of timeout, I'm hesitant to call this an accomplishment at all. Anyway, the key is to shield swap for nukes and to TP fast enough to WS at least once per nuke in the final phase before you shield swap again. Also, despite the appearance, all of his TP moves in the final phase are physical, and their effects are negated by blocking. Reminiscing. I remember back in 05, I needed help with the Tower fight for AF Head, but no one in my LS was strong enough. I talked to a random guy about it, and soon enough he was taking me up the tower with a six-man party. I can't remember his name, but after a hard fought battle I was happy to finally complete the set. Fast forward to 08, I had been doing Dynamis, and (after two dc's as it dropped in the pool!) got the Abyss head from Xarcabard. I was happy again, and I felt a need to return to the tower, chill, and take a screenshot. I started using ffxiah.com in 2010, and my profile picture has been the one in the top right ever since. Eight years later, I finally updated the pic. I sit in the tower as we speak, remembering all the times anyone thanked me for playing the job well. Remembering all the times I gave advice to new DRKs, and the times when better DRKs told me off for doing it wrong. Yes, this is another DRK screenshot, but it's also a story, one I will continue for the love of the job. I get emotional sometimes, (and I'm a writer), so I guess DRK suits me in that way . Now I just need to miss an Insurgency entirely and everything will be right with the world. The End.Reminiscing. Ever since SE introduced [Dancer] as a job in this amazing game, I Knew I must be a career Dancer.. It had a rough start for sure like any new job, and was always branded the underdog of classes. Its versatility is overwhelming, you can become a healer, a damage dealer and a support all at the same time. Its solo capability was amazing and I couldn't resist the temptation of "trying" to solo tough content on my Own to see what I can do. This job is just perfect in so many ways and I'm so glad SE decided to give it the credit that it deserves, it really needed that! I love this Job and will always come back to this game because of it! After so many years, 10 years to be exact, my heart was set on making a Nirvana. I had done all the trials, ZNM, Salvage, even up to 24k Alexandrites way back in the day when it was actually extremely difficult and you needed a good Linkshell. I am very happy to say "I did it!" I couldn't have done it without the help of a handful of people. I'm sorry if i miss anyone, but Thank You to: Rielle, and her Linkshell, Forcestar, and everyone that was in my Salvage Group, Loneshadow, Cutestuffies and her Einherjar Linkshell, my Main Event LS Vanguard, and everyone else that had a helping hand big or small!
