9 years, 5 retirements and 3 attempts to build, I've finally accomplished my ultimate goal in ffxi! There are many thanks to be said throughout the years, and while the importance of this has lost it's luster for it's now a dime-a-dozen achievement, I consider this more of a sentimental trophy dedicated for the many who have come and gone on this long journey of mine. Let us first summarize and give thanks to Dienamis linkshell, my first Dynamis LS who got the Attestation of Vigor and Necropsyche for me back in 2005. I would also like to thank Grand Design for helping me obtain the Tenebrous Fragment in 2009. Ultimately, there are too many people to name but this relic was built and is not solely mine for it's entirety also belongs to one of if not my best in-game / become RL brother, Seshu. Since the Dynamis Updates in 2010, we have gone inside farming currency for me and though we retired in Feb 2012, we came back 9 months later and put in 2 months more of work to finish HIS and MY relic. Again, my heart and gratitude go out to all who have been there for me during this journey and though I may not specify each one, you know who you all are! Much love and yes, I troll'd and muled back my 75 gear just for the screenshot! It's not 'hard to get' anymore but when I finally got mine last year I was estatic. Someone once told me that completing a relic in FFXIV felt like more of an accomplishment than anything they'd ever done in FFXI. That person obviously never helped a dear friend complete a mythic weapon. Congratulations, Kathee. I know of no one more deserving. foremost, i can't thank Ben (Fthis, Benjix, Lolbenjix) enough for being with me throughout this long battle and journey. at times, i felt discouraged and wanted to give up, but you held my hands and gave me the endless support i needed to see it through till the end. forever grateful and thankful for your sole being. this dream would have never came true without you. Also, many thanks to Rizwan (my homie B), for your support, good times, and laughs along the way. forever my bro. thank you Max (still naming my first born after you), for your all around support and friendship. thanks Allen (Legend), who offered countless time to give me Exodus bank's alexandrites. I still can't believe I achieved this. I am so excited right now. It was a year ago I first started my journey, having quit in July, I never thought I'd be back to try and finish this off! Death Penalty obtained! This has been my greatest achievement to date in this game. I couldnt have done it without the help of many. First I would like to give thanks to Tweeky for we started this journey together 2 years ago. Im glad you were there for my final assault run to see it through. /cheers. I started this weapon back in 2012 when I was still living in Korea, and was never able to finish due to me moving to California for my career and me ultimately taking a break. It has been a project since 2012 and I finally finished it! First and foremost I want to thank Fthis and Milkydoll for helping me out with assaults, and Nyzul! If it wasn't for Fthis I would've probably been stuck on Lost and Found like an asshole. Also shoutouts to Kaotic, Akeon, Valeraine, Darklexa, Pickly, and many more for selling me Alexandrite at a cheap price. Thank you everyone! Time to DRK all the things! Thank you so much to everyone who sold me cheap currency along the way, helped farm dynamis, or gave me loans so I could turn them in early! Huge thank you to all the players [You know who you are] that helped along the way to our first Aeonics, it was a very intense journey indeed. Lots of preparations and determination to achieve this as a team. Special thanks to [Quendi, Nitenichi, Udoopudooo and Frostrike] who were always pushing us forward and investing lots of time offering help and advice, many times we woke them up early to be on our runs since we are EU and they are US… that wasn’t easy at all!Huge thank you to all the players [You know who you are] that helped along the way to our first Aeonics, it was a very intense journey indeed. It's moments like these which makes FFXI a special game. Where fans of the series can bunch together and overcome obstacles. We grinded for over a year to become strong enough to tackle what the game has to offer. We're not hardcore players, none of us are elitist, we don't show off and we always have time for those who need help. We win and lose like a family. When we lose, we come together to figure out why. I've always hated having to lead stuff, but these guys make it easy. I've always found the best group of players are those who do what you want, before you even thought of asking them too. They take it upon themselves to do what is right given the situation, and that's due to practice, it's due to listening. It's due to wanting the best for everyone there. We don't have a LS bank. We don't have a points system. We don't have hoarders, we pass items/gear to whoeever needs it most. And we're not closed off to the world, we'll take anyone who is willing to do what they can to win. I already said my thanks in our post in the Cerberus sub-forum. So when someone says you need to be on a populated server to make an Aeonic, let it be known that it doesn't matter how many players are on the server, so long as you can find a nice, small group of players who want to succeed, then anything is possible. It might take longer, but the journey is always better than the destination. We wear our Aeonics with pride, and we'll keep going as long as this remains fun. Peace out.
