Night has fallen, and the rocks of Arrapago Reef are just slippery enough for the male to allow himself enough wiggle room to mount and impregnate the female doomed. To celebrate their successful conception, they often attack wayward adventurers stepping into their pond without sneak. When destroyed, their newborn child takes their place 5-8 minutes later, fully fleshed and ready for action of its own.
