Its in Abyssea-konschtat, You'll need to find a mob family that can grant Amber light (most of the time from kills from Magic-element Weaponskills).

It comes from any mob in the entire zone, just need to have a very strong amber light when the Brown box spawns, since the strength of your light determines the power of the augments in the box.

I know now that these rings can go as high as -6% Breath/Magic/Phys taken, its quite awesome.

To answer your question Chronos: because it doesnt have Breath damge taken -5% . Damage Taken -5% means :
PDT-5% MDT-5% +(!)Breath damage taken -5%
