I was actually impressed with this GM as it was one of the FIRST calls I made whare a GM had actual game knowledge. The GM did admit to playing FFXI, the validity of that is unknown though. Further more I'd like to point out the last line the informed part: Shows SE really has no clue WTF they are doing. This call was made after I farmed 18~ hours and never got an Alky pop on 02Feb2009(Th4 Thf). Thief's Knife info:

To Fyekuhi
I've made over 20 GM calls in my history of playing and every GM I've met has played the game themselves in their spare time, all GMs have their characters on different servers than where they are working though and they are unable to give out their character names for obvious reasons. Chances are we've all partied with GMs before!

Well that's disheartening to read. I can only hope they're wrong.

When the thf knife was first updated, it was made known fairly quickly that it was not 100% drop. On thf forums everywhere it was mostly determined to be around a 90% drop rate from sozu himself, while leaving the flickering lantern drop rate very low.

The other information he provides is somewhat interesting, yet leads to no conclusions about anything still.

Technically if someone were to "call for help" on a mob, even on a mob with an item with a so called 100% drop it wouldn't drop. Anyway lol good post, and I thought it was against the rules for GMs to give out info like that and for them to play.
