You DO know this item has TWO recopies to make it right?
recipe one uses a Guivre's skull, while recipe two uses a Wyvern skull. Wyvern skull is a rare/ex item used in the opo-opo necklace quest that drops off the Hurricane Wyverns deep in Ifrit's Cauldrun, but similar to some other rare/ex items like dhalmel salva it can be synthesised into others things. Hurricane Wyverns are soloable by a level 75 beastmaster, so what Mel said was actually right.
Maybe YOU should check BOTH the recipes at the bottom of the page for whats in the synth before making a dumb post like that one Septroth.
You know Casualty, just because a person creates a character with an item name and sells only that item doesn't automatically make them RMT. In fact, I'd bet you just discovered somebodys crafting mule, probably a beastmaster no less who farms the wyvern skulls in ifrit's cauldrun. Congratulations.
Mel makes a good point. Usually chain crafting results in a lot of NQ's that take a long time to sell off. Placing them in different mules, can sometimes lead you to forget that you have already placed this item on the AH with a different mule. Thus competition with yourself on the AH. I usually sell only one item on a certain mule to prevent flooding the market.
As a 75 sam this is one of the best pieces to weapon skill in. DO NOT tp in this. if you dont have your walmart turban yet, go do some besiged or merit PTs asap!
I've been farming these for a while now on ninja and recently decided to start trying to desynth the helms that I don't +1. So far all I've gotten are the three cheap ingredients, beeswax, tiger leather and sheep leather. I was wondering if anyone knew if it was possible to obtain a wyvern skull from desynthing these helms.
Pobley not because there are two ways to make the item so how would the game know that you made that item from the Wyvern Skull or the Guivre's Skull. I just do not see how the game would distungish the two appart after they are crafted.
