I need some help, might be a dumb question iono. I cant seem to find out if Magic Attack Bonus helps with all spells IE: Healing, Elemental and Enfeeble. or is it just for Elemental spells . looked on wiki and it didnt realy answer the question for me, so if someone could please clear this up for me that would be great.

Magic Attack Bonus.

Healing and Enfeeble aren't attack spells. :x I guess some could say Healing is if used the right way (ie : Against Undead).

Only spells which deal direct damage are amplified and I am unsure about whether Dia/Bio are.

I think Dia/Bio would fall under Enfeeble since they reduce defense and attack.

I have no idea <_> Bio is classed under Dark Magic though. Not as if anyone really cares about their landing damage but still!

EDIT: Nah, Magic Accuracy is the stat which determines that. INT/MND/CHR (depending on spell) give some amount of Magic Accuracy themselves, which varies between 0.5 and 1 depending. 1 Skill = 1 Magic Accuracy also.

Magic Attack Bonus is purely a damage multiplier.

MAB affects Drain and I believe Aspir, so it's possible it affects bio/dia too

They don't affect Drain or Aspir. And I don't think they affect Bio or Dia either but I still cast Bio III in full MAB (Alongside skill of course) regardless.

Yeah you need to read wiki a little more carefully and click related links. Read further on the link to the calculating magic dmg page. Though I don't think it discusses the spells or magical jas that ignore MAB and MDB

Magic attack bonus does nothing for Drain or Aspir. Only thing that affects Drain's potency is dark magic skill.

Magic Attack bonus does increase the initial damage of Bio; however, the dmg per tic is increased in tiers with Dark magic skill only.

More specifically, for Bio II:

With:

Dark Magic Skill 200 - 210 = 5/tick
Dark Magic Skill 211 - 268 = 6/tick
Dark Magic Skill 269 - 290 = 7/tick
Dark Magic Skill 291 - ??? = 8/tick

But again, Magic Attack Bonus does have an effect on Bio, but only on its initial dmg when cast.
