Level 45 Black Bolts ...Why Not?

very few people seam to make /use them, but they look like the best bolts from lvl 45-50.

Because these exist, are cheaper and potentially can do more damage.

Clearly the playerbase is racist.

More importantly, Crossbow isn't really used to deal damage until 67, when you get Othinus' Bow. Before that, it's just Acid, Bloody, Blind, Sleep bolts for the status effects.

Why would you be wondering? It doesn't seem like your leveling Ranger. I would think war or drk would just want to stick with status bolts.

Also the Shard Of Obsidian used to make the bolt heads would have to be something the crafter would have to farm themselves since they don't seem to be sold on the AH very much. They drop off of Quadav mobs in Shadowreign zones so that adds to the lack of availibilty.

The only useful I could see people doing with this is using the obsidian to level goldsmithing to 16 and smithing either up to 7 or 14 depending on the information source on wiki.

You5r right I don't have ranger leveled ... but I do craft? I'm not worried about the farming aspect as that won't really be a problem... more in line with is there even a reason to bother.

The obsidian to make them isn't exactly common
