Microsoft Word

So on my old comp, I installed Microsoft Office Suite 2007. It worked fine. Then, after I installed my printer, Word started acting up. Anytime I try to print, save, or any other action, Word shuts down. I've tried reinstalling the entire Office Suite, I've tried running the repair function. Neither works. The rest of the programs work properly, just not Word. Anyone else have this problem, or other suggestions?

Oh yeah, OS = XP.

Have you tried updating printer drivers from the printer manufacturer's website?

I think so, but I'll try that again.

How old is your cpu and word is 2007???

Comp is roughly 7 years old. Was good back in the day. AMD Athlon 2800+, 1 gig DDR RAM, forget the mobo off-hand. Came with XP home. Recently reformatted the HD (like a month ago). Not at home atm, so can't mess with the drivers. Probably won't have time to do so until Wed.

okay so the old printer has been uninstalled and a brand new printer has been installed. still have the same issue. I'm thinking this might be a registry issue at this point, but i hate messing with that if i don't have to. any other thoughts on this? I need to get this done relatively soon. my install shouldn't be corrupt since it works on other computers.

That's rather odd.

You could always try using Open Office if you're not dependent on MS Office.

I know. I'm not the one who uses the computer or else I would use open office. The person who does complains that it doesn't work right (/sigh)
