Haste increases your attack speed. You kill things faster and thus take less dmg by killing it b4 it deals more dmg to you...If you're insistent on taking less dmg get some -PDT gear or wear an O hat like everyone and their mother has said already.

1% Haste is actually a considerable difference...If you're talking about farming then generally you're going to spend a couple hours doing that. Over that period of time 1% haste makes a monumental difference.

well then imagine the 4 agi and 3 eva im sure after 2hrs of farming you would take ALOT less hits then if you were to use walahra

If you're going for haste it's better after having several pieces stacking all together.
So 1% haste throughout all the haste you might have is pretty damn nice.
If you want haste and eva why the *** are you playing?
You pop in O Hat for TP and put on Wally for Recasts if you REALLY need the Evasion.
If you don't then use a Wally turban.

Why are people so hung on Denali? I'd rather have the +1% haste than the -1 Inventory space. Plus ALL my jobs can use W. Turban, Not all can use Denali. With Blau/Sirocco, a friend pretty much attacks endlessly, as THF, on melee hits, as long as I'm hitting for more than 1 (In XP pts), and getting TP, I'm content, Only attack I care about is when it comes time to SA/TA WS. Then again, I'm not 75 on THF yet, and still have much to learn, even after 75. But I do know I'm not getting superfluous ***that I can't mule off.
I'm surprised this thread has made it this far.
I think the Bonnet is cool to use in campaign since that's a fashion show. :o

while 1% haste might not be noticeable for eyeballers, it's still a big increase.
(as it was said earlier) denali head has two uses:
*town gear
*THF Trick Attack

wat about DA or TA?
DA goes in two places: grip (pole grip, but some people like using sword strap if they're still 6-hitting, heh), and earring (brutal earring, except for asuran fists)
another place where DA goes is body (askar korazin), but only if your acc is capped
edit: DNC forum, heh
DNC only has 2 DA pieces: brutal earring (fulltime), and the new update feet (for WS)

I hate WAR with a passion unless they're absolutely ground-smashing, so I wouldn't know; what replaces these terribly awful AF feet?
Eek! War af boots, Sorry to say, is one of my biggest pet peeves. Even Thick Sollerets(NQ) are better than them. Cheap too.
I would use different feet (Unicorn, Aurum, Dusk) if i weren't so cheap, but i would not make 55 the limit on the feet
i think if i change them i wont ever DA... i never get luck with anything in this game, im lucky it activates when i use Warrior's Charge >.>
Fourth Sabatons (lvl 55, acc +2) replace WAR AF feet.

Honestly, the 5 evasion you get from denali isn't going to do much, which is why you swap out other slots including haste ones for evasion if you are getting pounded on.
There isn't really any situation where you are getting hit enough where wally starts to kill your evasion and denali bridges the gap, in my opinion.

1% DA is a somewhat low increase, plus, at level 55 (and beyond, but before meripos) you'll always need acc, even with sushi and madrigal.
also, I thought that it was proven that AGI didn't affect eva, only parrying, shield, guard, ranged accuracy, and THF main Trick Attack
