Socialism has never ever benefitted or promoted hard work and bettering yourself and situation. It only gives the lazy even less reason to do anything. Probably why it didn't work.
Granted I'm a lazy person at heart so taking money from some other hard working shmuchk isn't too hard for me to do. Just kinda actually wanted to do something with my life a little earlier in it

your paying for insurance now aren't you? now take the amount you pay for insurance and pay it to the GVT instead
oh snap that was expensive
I rather pay for a Guaranteed service then 1 that can potentially tell you to *** off, xxx reason claim denied.
You might need to pay more taxes but gawd that will not kill you or push you into the poor house, stop exaggerating taxes.
Thats how us Canadian's Roll, and You( the Us or American Citizen) say that we have free health care, this is how we do it... its called " We pay Into it!".

A lot of misconceptions going on here.
The US ranks 37th in the world for it's health care system. World Health Care Organization(WHO)
This bill will not cover illegal immigrants.
-Reduce the number of uninsured by 32 million people, but leave 23 million (including illegal immigrants) not covered. The Congressional Budget Office
Part of how the bill is funded. Medicare payroll tax of 2.35 percent on earnings of more than $200,000 a year and couples earning more than $250,000, up from the current 1.45 percent. In addition, you'd face an additional 3.8 percent tax on unearned income such as dividends and interest over the threshold. Health reform and you. Unless you're in that income tax bracket, you're generally not affected.
Some positive points of this bill.
-It will bar insurance companies from kicking you off your health insurance program should you become ill. (If you're paying for insurance you deserve to have it, or what's the point.)
-Children will be eligible to be covered under their parents plan up to the age of 26.
-The bill would narrow the federal budget deficit by $138 billion over 10 years, according to the Congressional Budget Office.
-Much of the money in the bill would be devoted to subsidies to help families at incomes of up to $88,000 a year pay their premiums. Health reform and you.

Well, The impact it will make will for sure make the cost of transport facilities go up, that and fire departments. Now that we'll be running 3 times as many calls for total ***, maybe we'll find time to squeeze an ambulance into picking up the people who need it from our busy schedule of picking up and transporting pussies.
Now we'll need to hire more personnel, build more fire and ambulance stations, and raise taxes...by even more than what you'll see with this bill.
It's already HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE on the stuff I see. Yesterday I ran a call and when we got the lady to the ER, it was slam-packed full of people... there were people lining the walls in queue, if you will, and when we wheeled this chick out to triage, she sat in the chair for 30 seconds, and asked me for my phone, which i refused to give her, then walked out of the ER and back towards her apartment.

Okay look i live in the city with the WORST unemployment rate in the whole US. over 3x that of the national average. And i still know of numerous places that are hiring. If you try you will find a job. And also that is why they make an unemployment office. Getting a job is not hard if you really try.
And im pretty sure people do drugs because it makes them feel good.

But, yeah, that is *a* reality... I do not know a single person that works 2-3 jobs and is still really hard off. I mean yeah they are not rich but they can afford a house a decent car and to go have fun. The rally poor people are just lazy. The system is abused by unemployed people. I could make more money from the government if i did not work as opposed to me working. But i cant just sit at home bored. Others on the other hand dont care.
The typical person with food stamps, and no im not being a racist here, but are black women with kids and they come into the store wearing name brand stuff like baby phat with a roll of at least a few hundred dollars in their wallet. So why in the hell would they work if they are better off just having fun?

States launch lawsuits against healthcare plan
Reuters
CHICAGO (Reuters) – Less than 24 hours after the House of Representatives gave final approval to a sweeping overhaul of healthcare, attorneys general from several states on Monday said they will sue to block the plan on constitutional grounds.
Republican attorneys general in 11 states warned that lawsuits will be filed to stop the federal government overstepping its constitutional powers and usurping states' sovereignty.
States are concerned the burden of providing healthcare will fall on them without enough federal support.
Ten of the attorneys general plan to band together in a collective lawsuit on behalf of Alabama, Florida, Nebraska, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Utah and Washington.
"To protect all Texans' constitutional rights, preserve the constitutional framework intended by our nation's founders, and defend our state from further infringement by the federal government, the State of Texas and other states will legally challenge the federal health care legislation," said Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott, in a statement.
The Republican attorney generals say the reforms infringe on state powers under the Constitution's Bill of Rights.
Virginia Attorney General Kenneth Cuccinelli, who plans to file a lawsuit in federal court in Richmond, Virginia, said Congress lacks authority under its constitutional power to regulate interstate commerce to force people to buy insurance. The bill also conflicts with a state law that says Virginians cannot be required to buy insurance, he added.
"If a person decides not to buy health insurance, that person by definition is not engaging in commerce," Cuccinelli said in recorded comments. "If you are not engaging in commerce, how can the federal government regulate you?"
In addition to the pending lawsuits, bills and resolutions have been introduced in at least 36 state legislatures seeking to limit or oppose various aspects of the reform plan through laws or state constitutional amendments, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures.
So far, only two states, Idaho and Virginia, have enacted laws, while an Arizona constitutional amendment is seeking voter approval on the November ballot. But the actual enactment of the bill by President Barack Obama could spur more movement on the measures by state lawmakers.
As is the case on the Congressional level, partisan politics is in play on the state level, where no anti-health care reform legislation has emerged in Democrat-dominated states like Illinois and New York, according to the NCSL.
Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum, a Republican candidate running for governor, said the mandate would cost Florida at least $1.6 billion in Medicaid alone.
All states would receive extra funding to cover Medicaid costs that are expected to rise under the reform, including 100 percent federal coverage for new enrollees under the plan through 2016.
Medicaid is the healthcare program for the poor jointly administered by the states and federal government.

"We don't want to be microchipped.
We don't want the government to have a one-stop shop for comprehensive health records for every American citizen.
We don't want to be forced, under penalty of fine to purchase health insurance.
We do not like the price tag.
A huge number of experienced physicians have sworn to quit if it's enacted.
We hate the fact that even though we came out in force (the majority of the American people want healthcare reform, but not this bill), the House rammed it down our throats anyway.
We're not impressed with the way the government is running healthcare sectors currently under their control...or any other government entity, for that matter."

Love it or hate it, for good or for bad, we probably just witnessed the most historic and far-reaching legislative vote of our generation.
As a red-name, I'm not going to take sides either way. Regardless, it will most certainly be seen as a landmark decision in US politics for a long time to come.
