This was the first time since LoD that I got chills during a boss fight and actually STOOD UP during the battle. Amazing ending battle to an amazing game and the music just made it a million times better.

Say what you like about the games themselves, but the soundtracks for XIII and XIII-2 are inspired. Masashi Hamauzu is such a talented composer.

Anyways, here's my contribution. As noted in the comments, it really does sound like the intro to that WW2 series on HBO: The Pacific.

I thought for all of FFX's flaws that the Shuyin/Lenne parallel was pretty evocative and touching. That said, I tend to be vulnerable to love stories.
