Error Code: FFXI-3001

I think I remember seeing a thread about this recently, but can't seem to find it. ^^; Was a solution found ?

As a reminder, the problem is like this:
I can log into POL and get all the way through the "Select Character" screen on FFXI. Everything works normally until the black "Downloading data..." screen. It just kinda sits there downloading for a few minutes and then the error pops up. "No response from the FINAL FANTASY XI server. Connection timed out."

Anyway, I appreciate any feedback and apologize for asking a repeat question. :3

Googling it was my first response. :3 Unfortunately all I seem to find are unanswered questions from 2008. D:

try completely shutting down pol and try again.

No luck. :/

I've tried logging in with 2 separate accounts and into 2 different zones, completely closing POL each time. It worked just fine yesterday.^^; Thanks for the suggestion~

File check found no problems, so I rebooted for the 3rd time and... it decided to work. :D Yay ! Thanks everyone.^^
