Tomorrow night is a pirate cruise (with free rum YARRRRR) all around Baltimore harbor, and then the ensuing parties in Fells Point.... and saturday night is going out in Baltimore until the wee hours, and then sunday is a house party and potentially MOAR going out.
I've kind of booked myself solid, haha. and i'm working the next 3 days on top of it all? come monday, i might die.

I'm essentially writing about whether or not it's more important 1) that the British helped to modernize India, or 2) that they caused more harm than good by setting in place a rigidly hierarchical societal system that endures even today.

so it's kind of like... modernization has its place and has certainly been a huge benefit in the way of things like improving health/living/quality of life... but at what cultural cost? i often wonder these things myself.
I'm being a smartass and arguing both points. XD In my conclusion I'm going to say that it isn't possible to decide because you can't really separate the benefits from the drawbacks.
