I'll have to agree here D: It's not that I don't like HP, but after reading the first few books I just never got into it (and never bothered to see the movies).

The books were AMAZING works of fiction, and the detail with which she describes everything is mind boggling. I have not watched the movies because *to me* a book I immensely enjoy, I have always found the movie lacking.

The mythological references that she used alone showed how much work went into her books. She truly had a passion for writing and it showed.

It's a completely different time period (though FF is not chronologically our own) from Final Fantasy. Not all genres of fantasy are the same. It's like saying "Why don't you like WoW if you like FFXI?" It's a matter of taste.

lol it's funny, for a project in one my my classes, we had to make a presentation about interpersonal relationships. My group, which was 4 sorority sisters plus me, did a rendition of The Bachelor. I had to be the bachelor. <_< lol
So at the end, which was the rose ceremony, my line was "you're all amazing women, and I'm sure I could be happy with any of you..." and I was sooooo tempted to be like "BUT LOL JK I'M GAY." But alas, the show must go on~
Gotta say though, my straight guy act is flaaaawless. <3 All my years being closeted in the south finally paid off. XD

Earlier in the year I had to pick up some birth control pills (it's required for women who take the acne medication Accutane because of severe birth defects) and the pharmacist spoke rather loudly "HONEY REMEMBER TO USE A CONDOM, BIRTH CONTROL ISN'T 100%." I was pretty damn embarrassed but I bit my tongue since she was trying to be helpful. But man... all the people in the line that overheard must've thought I was a ho or something lol.
