Pfft, try living in the UK where no one over the age of 10 does anything on Halloween. Seriously, it's one of the few parts of American culture that I actually envy. I like the idea of putting effort into making a geeky costume, decorating my house and getting plastered at Halloween parties. :(

i dont know anyone who really dresses up or decorates their house :<

Halloween was great when I was younger...we would go to the rich kids houses where they would always give giant size candy to show off their $$$$ :D

Haha have to love rich people! One year me and a friend went trick or treating in a rich neighborhood and made out like bandits.

i want to make homemade candy and caramel apples and give them out for halloween

I guess it comes from reading too much reddit lately, but it seems to me that Americans tend to take Halloween much more seriously in general than most other countries. I sat at home by myself feeling guilty for eating chocolates because we didn't get any trick-or-treaters. It was pissing it down, to be fair.

I'm trying! D: But it's proving to be borderline impossible. Moved back home after finishing uni to a tiny village on a hill near a small, shitty town, so there's basically zero chance of meeting anyone in day-to-day life. Online dating hasn't proved fruitful yet either.

I went as "Beary" Potter for Halloween. :3

Halloween = get dressed EVERY year. :p I was a witch 2 Halloweens ago, BUT I was in Delaware (dead as all hell), so I had to bring the witch back for my city, gogo Philadelphia. <3

My Halloween was pretty cool--I got to be a judge for the 5th grade costume contest. :D If you've never seen a bunch of Chinese schoolchildren dressed in matching Halloween capes do the Gangnam style dance, you are missing ouuuut lol

A few of the kids invited me to have dinner at their apartment, where their parents busted out an expensive-looking bottle of imported cognac and tried to get me drunk. <.< Not gonna lie, some of those moms can really drink lol o.o Eventually the people next to me started giving up and pouring their bowls into mine, which was kind of a relief since I was feeling bad about how unfair it is to try outdrinking me. >.> I have like... honey badger-esque alcohol tolerance lol

I bought waaaay too much candy for my classes though. D: Need to figure out what to do with all of it lol I only like chocolate. -.-
