Lol, see them all the time. They are indeed "Daddy-Long-Legs". Your boyfriend is probably just messing with you to be honest. Yes they're rumored to be the most poisonous spider on Earth. And it has been proven their venom can kill a human in less than... well... a minute actually. But their fangs are no near long enough to penetrate the human skin, not only that they have a small layer of skin protecting the fangs, they can only kill extremely small animals and the sort. No worries ^^ (Lives in West Virginia, sees them all the time)

I guess there are differences now that I look at it... Daddy's bodies generally have less shape to them.. they're more round rather than oval shaped... and their legs are almost the same in length... these things legs are longer in the front. Good luck with yer spider issue ^^ Not afraid of the little ***, but that doesnt mean that I like them either, they generally get squished on the spot, same with Bees and Snakes... lol

Daddy Long Legs. Very poisonous but harmless to humans. A Recluse would be smaller and have thicker legs.

They are horrible, i hate spiders ; ; our Daddy Long Legs have little wings and fly and they dont phaze me at all....but those they make me feel sick lol

There are actually several different insects called "daddy long legs"

But hell, its just a bug, you can destroy it tiny life with one hand! This depends on wear you live. If you live in an area with poisonous insects/arachnids you should learn about them!

That's the kind the OP is talking about and only lives in the Americas. (Canada too, the whole continent dorks)

They aren't harmful, and I used to rip their legs off for fun when i was 5-10 years old lol
