First time I watched someone kill a sprite was this evening. I was so angry watching this high level Bard kill this Sprite with such ease. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr.... Sprite Killers be scorned!!!!!

They do drop that now, but people were killing them for fun before Dark Ixion came out. Some people just like to do things that bother other people.

After a campaigne battle once there were 4 of us left for dead for a good 20mins, finaly a sprite comes along and starts raising, some random guy comes running in and kills it with 3 of us lieing there, didnt get raise for another 15mins or so after >.<

Actually I do (although not on Siren). I'd like to see less people killing them so that they start appearing in the present. But with them dropping Stygian Ash, the odds of THAT happening are *** all and none.

I don't care if peeps kills Sprites, but when they kill the ones that hang out near the forts it's obnoxious. Unless, of course, they wanna hang out and raise/cure peeps after they kill it?

I like the sprites. I'd prefer if people did not kill them, but since most people are *** or morons it can't be avoided. I'm not referring to everyone (i understand Ixion), but people who kill them for absolutely no reason should just go away.
Wasn't there some kind of discussion about faeries being in present vanadiel? or was that debunked? I remember seeing pics of them in dunes, but I lost track of the discussion a long time ago.

But yes, sprites can appear in the present if certain cirumstances are met... I don't know if it's people not killing them or just having enough people releasing bottled pixies, but they have been seen in several zones on some servers.
We could also just do merit parties in past areas and all go and release the bottled pixies though.
If it's a combination of not killing them and also releasing them, I'm curious to see if there's any substantial benefit to seeing them in the present. New NM's that also drop great gear perhaps?
I think the only benefit is the fact that they're there. Which is a pretty good benefit, since they rock by giving you cure V and/or raising you.

That's a good benefit, but is it really good enough to stop seeing anymore Ixion Cloaks/Ixion Capes?
