I vote for a combination of the 2. He's probably a closet gay with lots of female friends, as they dont see him as anything other than a "girlfriend" anyway. And they probably don't mind posing as his girlfriend in order to help him keep his little secret in the darkest corner of his closet, until he finally grows up and find the courage to admit to mom and dad that he's infact gay.

The way i see it that could possibly explain this is

Once he runs out of money or his usefullness has run its course, he'll never see them again lol, because it's certainly not his looks that attract them xD.
Money might buy you one night stands but seeing as you always seem angry and need to show those pics off, let alone even take the pics as proof in the first place just seems to me that you can't or never have been in a real relationship XD and need the pics to prove something to other people.
Also if you have such a good life you wouldn't be so negative all the time, spending your time playing FF XI and posting on forums trying to make every other person feel insignificant xD. I feel sorry for you man :x

As much as I love trolling for lulz, you can say w/e you want, and this is the true purpose behind this post. I'm a very respectful, articulate, and charasmatic person; a very loyal friend, and satisfying lover...I know these things bc one-night stands dont turn into friends w/ benefits unless both parties enjoy engaging sexually w/ each other. Also, I dont spend much money on the ladies you've seen in these pictures, maybe a few of them I bought a drink or two, but its not like I'm paying for thier bills lmao. I do spend a lot of time outside of FFXI hence my 1 lvl 74 job and various others under lvl 60 (Granted I've only been playing on Noobozaurusrex for a few months). I'm posting all these and acting like a jackass bc the forum is called "Why do ppl hate..." and that exactly what ya'll are doing. Hating. So...while I may not be doing anythign constructive, neither are you so u really can't say much.

I have seen this done a number of times, a player simply puts a picture of themselves, man or woman, and usually gets rated down, and abused because they put a picture,and get told this aint facebook/myspace/bebo or wherever people go.
Personally i dont see anything wrong with it, maybe they want their friends in game to actually know what they look like?
Why do girls get ridiculed for putting up any pictures that may be slightly revealing? Come on what is wrong with that? Why would you hate this? Personally i think if girls are not shy to do that, and wish to show off some costumes, or just to show how beautiful they are, then why hate them for it?
Does it all come down to the simple word, known as Jealousy?
Or does it come down to the fact that players only want to see final fantasy related pictures, but then again, this is completey contradictory, because i have seen those threads of Pictures that make you LOL, which usually have nothing to do with FFXI.
This is not me trying to stick up for some one, but just curious as why people hate this much, over a simple thing like a picture of someone, whats your thoughts???
