SCH can hold it's own in either situation, but BLMs can still cast AM and WHMs can cast Cure V and Haste. So no, SCH isn't going to take them over and replace them. It's pretty silly to think that.

Just because SCH uses Ebullience and weather for extra damage doesn't make it any less powerful. That'd be like saying 'COR can only do big damage numbers because they have to rely on /RNG /WAR' or 'DRG can only solo with WHM subjob.'

I don't want to turn this into a SCH vs BLM thread but this made me LOL because you don't even have SCH high to use Ebullience. You do know that using it doesn't increase the MP cost, right? It's 20% extra damage for free. If BLM had access to it, they wouldn't hesitate to use it and post epeen damage screen shots.

Please tell me you use Parsimony and not Ebullience whenever you're actually trying to DD rather than get epeen damage for screenshots.

Bst you can do what you want and have lots of fun with it, Cor sucks.. it's tedious and you always have to pay attention to everything, If you are not doing something as Cor, you're probably forgetting to do one of the 3 or 4 things you do every few minutes for infinity.

Ironically Cor/Bst solo is pretty cool though..

Yes, I can't like it for the reasons I do. lol It's a good thing I don't need your approval to hold the opinions that I do. I'm sure I'm not the only one who doesn't like keeping track of 3 or 4 different things at once for hours and hours upon end. If you forget too someone is sure to complain. I literally can't play the job for more than 2 hours because it gives me a headache. I don't mind doing anything Cor solo or low man, but in merit? I can't stand it. I assume Brd is the same thing only worse.. funny I don't see Brd ranked very high..

Most support jobs you need to pay attention 95% of the time or you're doing it wrong.

And I don't have a problem paying attention on something like Nin, but with Cor it's the same thing over and over and over and over and over and over.. you get the point..

Thing is.. Cor is never rejected either.. even on things it's totally terrible at.

Such as a mob that spams AOE Dispell.. ppl don't bat an eye at putting a Cor in a fight like that but it's almost completely useless because of the timers once the rolls are dispelled.

Completely different. Parsimony is always more MP-efficient than Ebulliece, which leads to longer uptimes and/or more nukes/minute for more total damage than 20% more on a single nuke once a minute. At best (1 nuke per minute), Ebullience is a straight 20% increase in damage dealt. In the same situation, Parsimony is a straight 50% increase to damage dealt because it allows you to nuke more for the same cost. 4 nukes becomes 4 Parsimony nukes and 2 normal nukes. 50% > 20%. If you're not just nuking, it's even more favorable.

You don't need my approval to have your opinion, but I don't need your approval to express my opinion. If you don't like a job because you have to pay too much attention, then I consider you very lazy, and it probably means you are, considering that COR is one of the most challenging jobs to get right that I've levelled.

By your own admission, you don't like paying attention. That implies a degree of laziness, however much you don't care.
