Well as long as you're having a good time, I don't think the xp/hr really matters. Unless of course you require it to be at a certain number to have fun, which would be unfortunate.

Sylph.Hitetsu said: Ramuh.Lilbusta said: Exactly my point. With the jobs that LFP most of the time you can't get a decent setup. No one wants to work "outside-the-box" for party setups these days just to keep exp rolling. I'd still take 8k/hr over 3 hours of lfp @ 0/hr. The thing is. I see 3 PT's at 56. I seek on RDM. I could make an "out of the box" PT and have the most random assortment of jobs and score 4k/hr (yes, I've had that number in an Aht Urgan PT before). Or I could try and get in one of the other PT's when their healers have to leave. I'm not saying they will have to leave before the PT ends, but why would I risk a potential ~18k/hr PT for one that I know won't make any EXP.
LOL@Veg with his example. I can't multitask like you can so it's either/or for me.
I just get fustrated with people because not all jobs can contribute to +15k/hr parties so they're stuck lfp or make one that can only peak 10-12k/hr, but mainly avg. 8k/hr. Lately it's a hassle to make a party because people won't join because of the setup or they join and see the setup then disband before it starts. I'll gladly gimp myself from AB'ing since other people's greed will lead me to do that.

In your opinion. This is exactly my point. What's it got to do with anyone else what sort of experience we like? It's none of your business, so stop casting judgement needlessly.
This is a stupid argument. People who prefer faster experience are being shunned because it's their preference. Maybe we should start shunning you because you like Muse? What'd be the difference?
Nothing. You're just judging other people over a petty and meaningless issue that has no impact on you in the slightest.

If I could spend an hour levelling and get 8k exp, or an hour levelling getting 20k exp (which are also, more often than not, more enjoyable and exhilerating parties) which would I pick? Based solely on level of enjoyment, the second. You can say and think what you like, but that doesn't make me an elitist, lol. PS. 8k is not average. I haven't failed to get more than that in Qufim since level sync.
Rainbow Bunchie also enjoys being in a party giving good exp. Pre Aht Urhgan areas 8k an hour might be a little low but hardly bad enough to leave a party over. You may noramally be able to get more than 8k an hour in Qufim Island but you are forced to party in some crap areas if you do not want to level sync all the way to Aht Uruhgan where 8k an hour isn't bad exp.

Exactly. It's none of your business. So why are you being so judgemental because people have a different preference to you? Because people assume everything involves them when it doesn't. =\

I can see you now coming to a meripo whm/nin w 2 hammers saying to the party "why is everyones panties in a bunch I thought we were here for fun? I think it's because Flion is still new to the game. 1x 75, so they can't possibly have gotten bored with EXP'ing yet.
And it's MNK, so it's not like they have to deal with the retards a Healer or Tank would.

On what grounds are we inept because we're not? I really can't understand all this aggression, just because we have differing standards. If you're content with that, what does what we're content with have to do with anything? It's pathetic at best.

The majority of people are satisfied with 8k an hour though. Not really. They'd drop that ***like a hot charcoal if while they were in that party, they were invited a spot in qufirm worms w/ a PL, unless they have people they know personally in their current party.

I think it's significantly more satisfying when a party is able to keep exp going at a good rate and remain self sufficient. So many of these AB and Qufim burning parties require outside assistance. Great if it's available, but I truly miss the sweet taste of a party that fits like a glove and keeps rockin.

Good for you. But personally I'd be happier with a much quicker party. Feelings are nice and all but ultimately I play this game for fun; and I get a lot more enjoyment out of quicker, faster, more exhilerating parties than slower ones.

That's fine. I just think it's a shame that everyone needs to drag a RDM or WHM at their side to party at all times.

I half blame SE for that, though. Low level healing options (and in a more looser term, refresh options) completely restrict the pace of most parties at low levels.

How's that? You said it's nice to have a 'proper', PLless party, which I would apply to a 'warm fuzzy feeling'; whereas enjoyment is a different thing, no?

But can you get those parties on jobs that aren't liked at 65+? I've seen it take THFs almost a month to do 70-75 because they're nothing more than a TP feed in most people's eyes.

No offense, but it's actually a relevant point. The people on the opposing viewpoint have a lot of 75s and obviously (matter of fact, not out of spite) have more levelling experience.

No, but that's an unfortunate side effect to how the jobs have developed per playerbase preference. Comes down to the actual mechanics of how exp is obtained... The more you kill, the quicker the experience you get. That means the jobs that naturally deal more damage take priority. Unfortunate, but nobody but the developer's fault.
You can't blame the playerbase for that.
