Not a "favorite" per se, but had the joy of hearing this at the release party last night, and of course with a name like that, I HAD to share with the FFXI community!
This is an excerpt from my friend Lindsey Goodman's newest (3rd) album of solo contemporary flute music, and a lot of electroacoustic flute music. Her stuff is a LOT of extended technique stuff, sounds that you probably haven't heard from a Flute before!
Found this one amazing because it was a piece written for her, for solo ALTO Flute (my absolute favorite instrument of the flute family), no accompaniment, and of course the name caught my eye at the release party last night- Marsyas! 3 mins, enjoy!
