I'm sure the time you spent with her was glorious, but a whole process of marriage/divorce could have been avoided if there was some honesty involved.

Isn't it obvious that I'm making fun of the double standard involved of what I think and how I act?
I'm saying what is the idealistic response to the topic at hand, but then proving that impulse/desire overcomes rationality in almost any love related incident.
This is the beauty and curse of being in and out of love.
It's that complicated and that contradictory that philosophers have pondered, wars have been wagered and kingdoms ruined after it.

Ramuh.Krizz said: Korpg, you are not stating facts. You are stating opinions. Your differences between 'like' and 'love' is your opinion. Like does not turn into love because of sex. Quit trying to cram your opinions down everyone's throats just because you're not loved enough. Thats the only opinion I presented that wasn't backed by fact.
Otherwise, you would be correct, but the problem is, my other opinions are backed by facts. "Shoving" them down your throat is the only way you would understand the actual truth of the world, because I don't find many people smart enough to figure this ***out themselves. They keep living in the delusional world of "love."
Fairy.Spence said: So many cynics here I try to be optimistic about this sort of thing.
I think "love" is a nice idea and I'd prefer to think it's possible rather than not. Its only possible in movies. Odds of you finding love is about as remote as winning the lottery.
Remora.Belius said: It's possible.
By all means the experience is very plausible too.
But don't get srsbzns about it.
Cause it won't last.
People progress alot through 18-25.
Your person changes.
Who you are now isn't you the 3 years ago if you compare 21 to 19.
It's stuff like that.
Unless you are an exception, maturer and know what you want, then go for it.
Otherwise, don't meddle in something srs like that.
Take it easy.
Love, but don't let it be everything about you.
Have fun.
Tell me you love me. :<
Why do you want to enter a relationship where you will know it will end badly?
Unfortunally, I was like you, and everyone else in the world. I have had my share of relationships, but I realized in the end how fruitless it all is. Now I don't lie to myself and I know I will only see women for sex only, nothing more, nothing less. Because I know thats the only reason what they see me for, nothing more, nothing less.
The "caring" aspect of a relationship is just a ritual to lie to ourselves from what we really want from each other. Valentine's Day is the biggest joke of it all. It is also the biggest cause of death of any "special" days in the world. Thanks to professions of love and the rejections that will take place, more people die from Valentine's Day than any other "special" day.
Nobody loves you, they just want you for your body. That is all.

Erm.
Once you give up on yourself, once you admit defeat, you will go into that state of 'sexprzonrykkthnx'.
You will stop looking, stop thinking and you will say you don't care, but it's all you can think about.
Relationships are healthy. Humans are not made to walk lonely paths, they come in pairs.
You will never be 100% complete, there will always be a hundred ways where another person can fill in these voids for you, just like you can fill in those voids for them.
I'm messy and silly.
I find guys who are clean and composed attractive.
Cause I respect that about them and I think I can't naturally act like that if I'm being me.
He likes that I'm messy and silly. It's refreshing for him.
And a relationship grows the more things we need from each other.
Sex is just the way to communicate something very basic to each other.
The 'Ineedyou'.

Go preach to someone that gives a damn.

there's nothing wrong with just wanting women for the sex and friendship. If women weren't so uptight and anal about their delusional childhood fantasies about Prince Charming, they would be down with it as well.
Besides, when you're not attached to anyone, you can focus on your career, your life, and do what you want.

Yo Korpg, why do you insist on trying to bring the rest of us down.
I'd rather be happy and dumb than miserable and smart like you, or so you keep telling us.

If you want to live in your own fantasy world where women think you are god, then don't cry to me when (and I do me when, because it will happen, sooner than you would like) it falls on your face.
Also, don't *** when you don't understand certain aspects of life, because you refuse to even look at the obvious. When your "loved one" starts to cheat on you, don't come crying to me, because its your own damn fault. You should have realized from today that your relationship is worthless, your feelings towards anyone is worthless, and its pointless to even bother expressing any feelings towards anyone, because it will always backstab you in the end.

I'm currently not home. I'm living at school at the moment.
Why?

Sure, I could let people wallow in their own stupidity all I want.
But when I take over the world, it wouldn't feel the same. I wouldn't feel right taking over the world full of stupid people, because it would be too damn easy (Obama got elected, that shows how easy it is).

Thats human nature. If you aren't being used, you are using people. You can be using people and being used at the same time. We are disillusioned into thinking that being used means we are important.
The powerful uses the powerless.
As long as you know when and if you are being used, you would understand and change it if you wish.

I love that the premise on arguing with Korpg on this matter is that he is somehow a credible source on relating to women, or even people in general in some significant way. He's a goddamn business major, everyone knows they don't have souls to begin with. Did you guys not see Professor Farnsworth's reaction to that ***? It was not good news, everybody.
Okay so - the story goes, a friend of mine has decided it is time for him to get married - he is planning to propose at the start of the new year, now he asked me 'cute, romantic or sweet ways' in which he could do it. Now when he told me, the first thing that came to me was 12 years, 12 roses, then it hit me.
My plan was for him to buy 12 roses (one for every year they have been together so far) and replace one of the roses with a fake/plastic one, he could then add a message saying 'I will love you till the last rose dies; will you marry me.'
This is probably the most romantic gesture i have ever thought of, i know kinda stupid really - if you've got any ideas, or wanna share a story, please do (:
Yes, before anyone decides to mention it i know this is a gaming forum don't both posting unless you have something nice to comment on.
Merry Christmas, Happy New Year
Flame Away.
