My brother would like to make a 3D print of my character in my favourite gear and has asked for some screenshots front and back, presumably would then use AI to create the full 3D model.

However it seems to me there could be a better way to export my character, possibly in a 3D format, or at least where I can import and display it without any other backgrounds and rotate to get different angles to save as bitmaps.

Does anyone know of anything I can use for this? I'd want to have all my gear on my char (with and without weapon) and then somehow the weapon pictures/models separately.

Without any external program help I was thinking of finding a white wall somewhere in game I could use as a background and then rotate the camera while taking a video, but sounds a bit low tech.

I think altana viewer had an export function. There are other methods, including extracting animations, but I no longer know them of the top of my head. I suspect you can still find the methods on the bluegartr forums.

It's definitely possible with Noesis, there were some people selling them over facebook a while ago:

If nobody else chimes in, maybe ask in the ffxi modding discord:

keep in mind everything is a separate model, shoes, legs, hands, body, head, hat (hat models kills part of the head model when worn too)

Oh! I did this recently.

Here's how I did it: https://www.reddit.com/r/ffxi/comments/1patdnw/comment/nrojqfo/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

Noesis exports the animation data as well, so you can get your model into the position you want. For instance, my Courrier is mid-attack animation.

And if you want to download the 3mf for the CourrierCarrier - it's here:
