Just curious if anybody does full runs for these still or not.

I only have 1 aeonic and it took me a full party to pull it off (for HELMs) 3 players with no mule sounds like a challenge.
Would say "impossible!" for a couple of Helms, but I've seen so many things pulled off that I previously deemed impossible, that I guess I wouldn't be surprised at all to see just 3 people doin that. Still, wouldn't say that would be an easy feat either! Also afaik the T3 and T4 Escha NMs, all of which have scaling HP, do not scale further down from 6. Meaning they will have the same HP wether you fight them with 6, 5, 4 etc Right? I am not sure how many geared player still need Aeonic these days I guess most of them already have it
I'm not sure how are you gonna deal with stuff like Zerde without Stun, or Erynis without the TP reset, or Schah... I mean Schah mechanics are easy if you kill it in less than 30 sec.
~1,3m HP. Dealing 99k with every WS with just SV and Dia2 wouldn't be easy. Then you'd need to do >13 WS in 30 seconds. Have done full clears with four, and know people that trio-boxed a full aeonic clear.
It's all doable if you have some experience and a good setup. For Erinys specifically, Asylum from whm after 1st TP move and 1hrs for zerg in about a minute. If he gets move off just rebuff and keep going. Biggest issue is also tanking all the adds at the same time - whm will need to be pretty buff. Yaegasumi will also block the dispel. Schah - just do a long clear by killing all the adds first. Curse buffers for the <50% push. dd whm brd geo cor is the standard setup with cor preferably swapping to geo. Zerde have brd and/or geo do stuns for the ugly moves. I still need an Albumen on one char that I've been too pussy to try and do as WAR BRD or SAM BRD. Am I being too hesitant or do I need more bodies?
As I mentioned before, as far as I remember, their HP doesn't scale under 6. If I'm right, you won't see monster HP increase by going from 4 to 6, so I would say it's good to add more bodies (provided they have good gear and know what they're doing).
HP is the same up to a 6 character party. Adding more bodies hitting on it is not always a good thing though, depending on how much dmg they're doing.
Even for say a brd that can do decent enough damage, on some mobs (Albumen, Schah, the other caturae) the brd is feeding a lot of TP and making the fight much harder for that relatively little extra damage. Unless you have 3-4 naeglings and can ignore the SCs cause there aren't any, you also need to pay attention to what WS are used and what SCs they make for the mobs that absorb certain elements. We once used a BLM to Mana Wall tank all of Albumen's adds with Phalanx 2, Ballads, Refresh 3, and MP Meds (and Convert + Super Revit in case it took long). He's a joke now with sleep now, and vex/attune pretty much ends any threat he can bring. Onychophoro i've killed solo on NIN and is the easiest solo of your life on any job. Pretty sure I've seen a PUP Schah or Vinipata solo video (Can't remember which). Vinipata is an undead, so maybe PLD+MNK just zerg, or stunlock it like we do Naraka in Sortie while one main DD kills it. At least the WAR MS Zerg was effective 8+ years ago. Probably could Foenaria DRK duo Schah with a BRD, he's Arcana so will get destroyed under Soul Enslavement WS spam. THF can probably duo Erinys with Gandring/TP Bonus OH and Evasion Songs with BRD/THF spamming TP wings/Despoil/Revit shenanigans. Zerde can be done with just SAM+GEO or BRD duo or any combination of DD+Stuns (RDM), there's a video of it somewhere. Teles could be an issue lowman if her first SP is Invincible, otherwise she's a joke with a Charm Buffer and zerg. Probably even THF+BRD could wreck this, just Larceny Invincible and go to town. As far as magic evasion goes, we used to use GEO for Vex Attunement on these like a decade ago, and afair, nearly no enfeebles landed on anyone. You could probably do the same today with a Sakpata job or MNK + GEO and just smash through everything. (You can prebuff rolls with Qultada beforehand to force Fighters/Chaos and then use healers or RDMs for Dia3/Haste2) Dodik said: » HP is the same up to a 6 character party. |
