says it increases ability to fish low-rank fish, but what does it actually do?
Is seabird's ring the reverse of the puffin ring?
Does it just increase the auto-depletion or something else entirely?

Fishing: Seabird's Ring question
says it increases ability to fish low-rank fish, but what does it actually do?
Is seabird's ring the reverse of the puffin ring? Does it just increase the auto-depletion or something else entirely? I would assume if fishing works like I think it does, that it will skew the bite rate toward shittier fish.
Like I was saying in the bout thread, if you're capped you will target higher level fish more because of how fishing is written. Example; Fishing Skill 0 Bastore Sardines are targeted 90% of your bites, 10% other fish Fishing Skill 110 Bastore Sardines are targeted 50% of your bites and 50% other fish The ring would make you act as though you have lower skill to target more sardines. All theory though. No ones ever looked that hard at fishing. My working theory because the same bait in SSG catches Nebs (27) and Grims (90) and grims almost never bite while you skill on nebs, but go back at 110 it'll be more grims. But not 10,000 catches worth of data. |
