Because theres always some douchebag galka standing infront of a npc im trying to engage with and i cant target them unless I adjust the camera.

Main character is taru, I will never change it. Best decision ever.

Not really that dumb, prolly one of the most requested features. When I first made my character I was an elvaan, and I despised all their animations so much that after reaching 75 cap and finishing the storyline, I remade my char to Hume. Couldn't stand the squatting for summoning and the Dagger pose and so many bad elvaan things. I would have been waiting 20 years to change.

well. i suppose it Could be useful if you bought someones Character. or in my instance took over a parent's mule. but yeah it is kind of silly (to me at least) i suppose other then if they maybe allowed something out of the 5 races. like for example Fomor or beastmen. which probably wont happen. it does have some uses though.
I am all for this. I was dumb a made a large mithra cause buddy told me at the time i wouldnt see char detail as small frame... i will change to what she should have been from the start! Now also give me 2-3x more bag space dang it!~

Some of us made our characters back when race stats mattered to the jobs you wanted to play. Not every mage wanted to be a taru, it just made sense to not be a fat galka if you wanted to be mages.

Not gonna lie, my current main is a Galka and it would be nice to just be Hume without needing mods to do it? Plus, I could make my Alts all Taru so they take up much less space on screen (completely ridiculous reasons, yes)

You gotta be kidding, we picked our race 20 yrs ago lol. Things change and most games have this option. If you don't like it, guess what, don't do it. But to rain on other people's parade seems...childish.

I went through elvaan M, mithra, Hume M, and decided on elvaan F. All 4 characters hit lvl 30+ back before CoP because I needed to see how they dual wielded. It was a terrible grind, but not as bad as settling for Elvaan M animations.
If race changes will make anyone happy in this game, then let them have it. There isn't nearly enough of that for my liking.

a lot of folks picked their race due to the stats. since the differences are largely irrelevant these days, letting people re-pick their character's appearance seems long overdue as it has been requested for ages. I am fine with my Dhalmel, and don't really see a need for the feature myself, but this is something that will make other people happy. of all the things to get one's panties in a twist about, I would think this to be pretty damned low on the list.

I ended up as red haired hume cos the char creation screen colours showed it as brown hair, not red. By the time I'd grinded my way to 75 I wasn't about to start all over again and after putting 15 years into my char I'm not about to restart. Being able to change to black haired hume is all I've ever wanted. Yes I can achieve this with dressup, but in my heart I know I'm still a red-headed hume which irks me. This will be a very welcome option if it comes to fruition.

Im pretty sure there will be massive reduction of galkas and tarus in this game
Maybe this was an evil change proposed by devs: allowing players to change race, they know galkas and tarus will be reduced to zero, then they can eliminate the data of them, like a Mandela effect.
You thought this was something nice, but in reality it is a virtual genocide!!!
