I've never used that one application that allows you to see the equipment out of game how it would look.
I'll likely pick something based on whether I want to lockstyle it or not... lol
Can anyone post "how this would look equipped" images.

Mog Bonanza

Not much difference in your hand vs on your back/on your waist. http://www.playonline.com/ff11us/guide/nomadmogbon/index.html Can we pick something beside the weapons? Not gonna lie all the weapons are dog water to me I rather have gil
You can't. It's a Kupon I-MOGB, it only gives the Bonanza weapons (not the augment item even).
Can also confirm even level 1 mules will get the kupon upon login.
The kupons are *not* account send-able. Existing mules already assumed would be good to go, but what about accounts created today
Asura.Eiryl said: » Existing mules already assumed would be good to go, but what about accounts created today That's the question. And if there's a difference between free trial and paid in terms of getting the Kupon. I logged in on an unsubbed alt and got it, so free vs paid doesn't seem to make a difference.
Fresh character doesn't matter either, made a new same-account mule. Seems reasonable to assume a fresh account would also get it.
I took Dragon Fangs on a mule because it already has 99 MNK and I'd like to test the WS.
420 H2H skill 204 STR 194 DEX Normal hits do 1121~1177 damage non-crit, 1416~1485 crit, which matches the expected base 295 base damage with capped fSTR. Dragon Blow with 1014 TP does 6488 to 6778 damage. Wiki says it's a 100% DEX mod, which would make that a range of 3557~3576 / 1024 http://fTP. OK, I went and got out my gorget. It's something more like an 80% DEX mod. My first WS with gorget on missed the main hit, landed offhand for 1775 damage (should be 1FTP), which implies a base damage range of 444~467 and rules out a 100% DEX mod. Looks like removing alpha just never happened on the wiki. It's an 85% DEX mod. As someone who hasn't played in a few years, are any of these really game changing for any job if you want to 2-3 man content? I've been leaning towards the Darkblade (I also few of the REMA weapons for ninja too), but not sure.

Can confirm: Fresh account, fresh registration code, logged in, have Kupon W-MOGB. Fun, not game breaking. this coupon thing wont expire right? im still new to FFXI! I do like BRD, NIN, and RDM though. What are the actual BiS?

From what I've read, Miracle Cheer is decent till you have all the fun BRD REMA, but is all around okay for just 15 minute songs without the worrying about NiTro times/singing and forgetting. NIN people are over the moon giving shadows to friends. And RDM :S I have no clue. Asura.Sylveni said: » Can you trade the item and receive it as a KI for later use. Yes, though you can also just hold the item itself for later use. Woops, meant "You can" lol. Also that's i'm what doing.. i'm too paranoid to touch it.
As much fun as it is to make fun of the lifers who can't pick one.
It's a really unfair choice for someone relatively new to just make a decision that will impact their entire game life like this. There's not going to be a right choice. You aren't going to know what you want for a reasonably long time. Asura.Eiryl said: » As much fun as it is to make fun of the lifers who can't pick one. I would've never expected the first one, definitely would never expect a second.
As you store up elixirs for the final boss only to never use them. Just as likely to get one every anniversary, as to never get one again. So, it's kind of important, and hard to pick without knowing anything. Asura.Eiryl said: » As much fun as it is to make fun of the lifers who can't pick one. Outside of a kaja weapon, and if their lucky to have gotten a pulse outside of deeds - a completed ambu weapon - it's a newer players first "BIG" weapon. They're like a wonderful shake up. Returnees and newbies that get some of these are gonna have a lot easier of a time getting their other goals accomplished! Game breaking no, but game changing, yes! I am mostly curious how long the vouchers will be given for.
Cause you know what's going to happen. People are going to expect certain jobs have bonanza weapons. You literally get them for free, why don't you have X. Dodik said: » People are going to expect certain jobs have bonanza weapons. People might expect it, but everyone plays multiple jobs so it's not realistic. Maybe some niche situations like DNC for kalunga might require one. Shiva.Thorny said: » Dodik said: » People are going to expect certain jobs have bonanza weapons. Yeah it will more likely open some slots for some jobs on some events, instead of those jobs with those bonanza weapons being required for anything. For lowman specifically , things like yagyu are definitely game changing. It can alter specific strategies completely. You'd be hard pressed to find a situation where having shadows makes or breaks a strategy.
No, they're not game breaking. In niche situations.. situationally useful, certainly. They definitely might, but it would be silly to expect someone who does something this out of character to do it twice. |
