FYI, the June update breaks XIView and all other icon mods due to the new flag on all items for whether they are POL sendable or not.
The client will crash when trying to look at an item.

trying to get all these new updates working but something seems to be stopping the menu fonts & spell icons, i do have radar, conquest map, magic weapon skill etc menu fonts all looking great! but the blue squared off main menu icons aren't working nor is the background images on 1-8 config windows thing either. any ideas why or what it might be?

Did you restart the game? If so do you have the new LFG icon?
Goto config > misc and make sure it's on icon type 2. Offline

i did follow all the step by steps but im pretty sure there is something conflicting still somewhere, as i cant get that nice blue box menu font or change the pointer either its really strange ill keep trying & let you know :) its pain cos it all looks super dope what you have done
umm i took the condensed folder 2 option maybe that is the cause? Offline

Are you using the JP client, are you on retail, are you installing it in Xipivot?
Post a screenshot. As long as you have misc / icon2 set and have overwritten 51.dat it should work fine. Offline

For future reference, if an update breaks Xiview (it will almost always be 51.dat that they break since this is the main UI file) and the menu image files from B are now too big and it looks messed up:
Goto the orig folder in the zip (do not copy over 51.dat this original file will also be out of date after a patch that breaks it). Copy over from the orig folder the contents of folders 280 and 324 folders (these are the menu images), that will be too big for the vanilla 51.dat file. This will put the menu images back to the smaller versions that match the vanilla 51.dat. Offline

How to change any part of the mod with the extra images in the zip, for example changing the font. The 51.dat has to be one from the mod already in place, save as 51.dat Offline

They overwrite the UI files as part of maintenance work sometimes (even if they do nothing, just cause they know people mod them)
they re-downloaded 119/50.dat (the main splash login screen) 119/51.dat (the main UI file) 119/57.dat (the buff icons for protect etc) Offline

I copied the files(before launching) and placed them someplace else incase they did go overwritten, which in this update they did. The files I pasted back into the 119 folder and everything works as it did before :).

Base Xiview mods (50/51) load before Xipivot on Windower as Zeta said, so you have to replace the actual files and not drop them into Xipivot.
Thank you for your replies. That was it! I just had to load it into the main ffxi folder, and not via XiPivot.

Posting this while I remember:
All versions of Xiview have alt typing font to fix an issue with DGvoodoo. However if you want to use the proper HQ fonts that come with XI and fix the DGvoodoo issue: In XI config, swap to high quality fonts. In dgvoodoo on the directx tab, change texture filtering to force anisotropic 2x (or anything but app driven, "app driven" here is what makes the normal HQ typing fonts look bad). Offline

Updated and fixed bugs with an old mod someone made in 2007, blue and black wyvern versions in zip.
